Will do. I land at 11:30 tonight so I will wake up tomorrow in a whole new world from Texas. We will hit road early to start the search. I got several more leads today so it will be a busy weekend.Enjoy your trip and give us a report....
I'm trying my best not to like It due to being over my budget. It's owned by a German who is the original owner. It's been "restored". He showed me pictures of the tub rust repairs. It's got lots of paint on it. He had to scratch through the layer on the frame so I could match the number to the engine. This one looks like a contender.

They have those here. All I have seen are ambulance doors. I asked about pick n pulls but that concept is non existent around here.Yep, the red one gets my vote.

What were the main hidden problems that you came across so I can double check those area when looking.I have imported 6 bj40 cruisers from Costa Rica and even after close personal inspection not one of them came without many well hidden issues. Costa Ricans are artists with their body filler lol... B and 3b diesel parts are getting harder and harder to come by and you end up spending way more than they are worth... I hate to be negative on the subject but you would have been money far ahead if you had purchased a pre smog fj40 and slapped one of many common to find parts for 4 cylinder Diesels in it... I wish you all the luck regardless! Costa Rica is a beautiful place with great people and is worth the visit!
