Just heard the Volks are in !!!! can't wait to see the pics and get them on !!! they're 20's

A HUGE thanks to @ Obi Wong Kenobi ........ I'd all but given up on these.

very spendy but I figure over the next 200k it's worth it...... the Slee rear bumper will finish the truck off next month.

Be careful with those. They are light but that comes at a cost. Bent several on an Audi back in the day hitting potholes in Chicago.

You must have had bad luck or hit those potholes real hard. Been running TE's on all sorts of vehicles for over a decade and have yet to bend one. From off-roading to track events to street driving in Boston's pothole filled city, they've proven to be stronger than any other wheels I've used.

I had a set of Volks on my first RS6 when I lived in Maine..... they handled those roads ( loosely used) as well as anything .....but everything has a limit. I'd suspect if I was only to run rubber band treads they'd bend.... however, I'll be wrapping them with at least a 35 or a bit larger..

Nice clean Avant BTW....

Can't wait...

Dang.... the PES stuff was trick at the time..... I did a stage 3 A62.7t back 10 years ago and my buddy had a PES'ed A4 and he'd stay right with me..... ultimate sleeper. ( short of a RS6 avant import....)

Cheers

Nice ! the 2.8 was a solid motor.

Stt pros are nice and they are less rolling weight. The nittos won me over as a customer though...proven good tires. Cant go wrong either way. Good looking wheels!

Rims are all here - HUGE thanks again to @Obi Wong Kenobi !!!

Tires arrive tomorrow - went with the Ridge Grapplers in 35x11.5x20 as they are lighter load rated for a bit smooth ride.... and hoping the slighlty narrower stance will eliminate most of the rubbing on the UCA

will post pics up once they're mounted....

Can't wait to see them mounted!

So they're on ! the rims turned out to weight 25.2 lbs - a 8lbs savings...... and the tires are 3 lbs lighter.
all moot point really ...

Love the Ridge grapplers so far - got 30 miles on her quickly and for as aggressive as they look they are really smooth. As 35x11.5x20 they are 3/4" shorter then the former 305/70/18's..... all of which means no rubbing at all. going to need to sort out a center cap solution for at least the fronts to cover the axle ends....

heading to CO next week so will have a good sense of how it all works realtime ..... and finally get her out in the wild....

Congrats those wheels look good.

Wheels look great. Awesome they are so light!

I am rolling into CO Thursday for the Franti Concert at Red Rocks with the wife - then planning to tool around thru Mod Monday when I have to be in Vail for 2 days of work - dropping the rig off at Slee's Wednesday for the rear bumper install ( can't wait ) then tentatively heading Friday for Telluride / Ouray and back to TX..... love to meet up with some mudders for sure... !!
