Hey Jim, Man i'm not sure anymore ?? Would like to stay away from Dodge trans.. But it will be an auto as i want to use this cruiser as my highway truck.
A good friend just offered me an Allison trans from a 2004 Duramax ( New one too ) so i'm trying to find info on that ????

As far as trannys go, have you thought about trying to get a hold of the dodge five speed manual that was used with the cummins? They're not nearly as common as the auto but they are out there. I would stay away from the autos dodge used, they've never been very reliable.[/QUOTE

Yeah, i hear ya..
I think i'm gonna try and find an older 4x4 with a NV4500HD and all the works with maybe a blow motor for all the right parts..
Diffs, transfer, etc. I dont wanna half ass it, input from everyone here points me in a different direction that i thought i could go.
