Flat black although olive would look cool as far as the dirt thing, it's a Land Cruiser it's suppose to be dirty!!! My $0.02

Thanks,

Ha,ha...Not a body man, did it for a bit, but thats all..
Its a passion i guess...
Any pics of that rusty girl??

She is worse than the pics look....Both rear quarters are shot, as are the rockers and some roof rust. She needs a good amount of rust repair.

I think that's gonna look super sharp...I would consider satin black as opposed to flat...sort of in between flat and gloss but that's just my aesthetic 2 cents.

Yes, satin black is way cool.. Window line down to hood to cut it up.

I'm going ultra flat olive drab with mine...but this one's body is tight enough to give it a factory finish, I wouldn't cover up all that beautiful body work with a flat finish.

Does not look too bad, at least it was not butcherd my somebody else,

Not yet, but after a very large amount of sanding and masking, there will be.

Satin OD is what I am planning on painting my old girl, I would love to see pictures of yours when she is done as well.

Pete just wondering if those front shock mounts you made are strong enough? Have you done it that way before?
more then likely it will be fine for stock shocks.

Everything is looking good, you are a master fabricator! My project is a bit on delay with a move coming up, but at least I am driving the old girl.;p

Its the first time for the shock mounts ?? Will modify if needed. My 40 is going to be more extreme anyways ( riding) the 60 should have life easy. :steer: Mine on delay also, will be heading out for work soon and i am waiting for a new girl !:bounce2: picked up a parts truck for the 5speed for me 62 and it has a 12h in it so i will be swapping it to me 60..

Nice, how much did you pick up the 5speed and 2H for? oh 12h-t?

Yah you will just have to wait and see on the mounts. probably will be fine, next time or for the 40 I would have it supported on both sides so you don't bend your bracket or snap a bolt. But honestly your probably won't. Your fab skills are top notch though, I am envious.

Ha,ha, Thanks ... Yeah its tends to get out of hand when i have a welder in my hands. :bang: Its a 12h ? I think t and does that mean Turbo??? I dont know these motors at all. Should have more news on it soon. :bounce2::bounce2: I pick it up for the tranny and the engine is a bonus !!

Oh my, that's one of the more sought after engines, if it's a 12h then it's turbo the 2h wasn't and the block is slightly different. The tranny would need a different input shaft if it was going in a F engine. But yea, score man! I wish I lived near you haha.

Even if the engine is toast you can part a lot of that stuff out to the few guys here in the stats with HJ's so they don't have to ship from CAN or over seas.

Taken from wiki, read up over in the diesel section or ask there when you need info on her. Just like everything else there are gurus all over this site.

"The 12H-T is a 4.0*L (3980*cc) inline 6, 12 valve OHV turbocharged diesel engine. Bore is 91*mm and stroke is 102*mm, with a compression ratio of 18.6:1. Output is 134*hp (100*kW) at 3500*rpm with 232*lb·ft (315 N·m) of torque at 1800*rpm."

I was looking at the mounts and i think i see what you mean now, with the movement of the axle, right ??

Yeah i'm pretty happy if that things a Turbo it is a 12h-t, so !
It's coming from aways but... i'll fill ya in later on this..
I have been reading in that section but i get lost pretty fast ( A.D.D) he,he.........:bang:

Can we find these in north america somewhere ??

Pete, I looked for a bit before I started my project, but didn't have any luck.. Hope you do though. They look killer. First set I ever saw I fell in love with.

Maybe one of the aussie members could get you the hookup. But, be prepared to shell out some coin.
