I also got my new towers powder coated. These work perfect for mounting a RTT

Great stuff, are you TIG welding the aluminum or just using a spool gun with the MIG? I just finished a steel basket for my trailer

I personally use a Millermatic 220 ac dc. great welder but on the thicker Aluminum Tig welding it is kinda at it max .

Starting to assemble this quicksand today

I've been doing as much reading as I can find on this (ExPo is an awesome resource as well) but just curious if you have any input on keeping the lower frame super straight as you're welding it up? I don't have a big welding table or anything, just working on my garage floor. Will use a level and angle-magnets where possible and will start with tack welds. Just thought I'd ask if theres any prevailing methodology here.

The first trailer i built was in my garage on the floor . Make sure you tack both sides and move around when welding it up . Do not put a ton of heat into one section and fully weld . Weld a corner in the rear then move to the front . Something you could do maybe is get a section of I beam and clamp to that

And just like that @GLTHFJ60 , the guy has me watching another video. Thanks for that, definitely going to try and find that tool somewhere. And thanks @Firemedic831 , I'm going to try that while I look for that other thing and see if I can get "close enough".

So I decided to try a little bit different style build this time . This will have a tailgate that opens to the side with a drop down table Pull out fridge. 20 gal water tank. On board shower system. Battery with solar Pull out kitchen RTT and awning .
