I started this project a couple days ago. I have never done anything like this so learning as I go but so far it’s turning out good I think. Hope to get it pretty close to being done this weekend

I laminated the FRP to the bottom of the Ply . Now it is 100percent water proof from the bottom

Took her for her first drive around the block. Pulls great. Can’t even feel it behind my truck. And easy to back up also . Now I can work on the fenders and lights

Looking good. I have been looking for trailers this week. Did you design your own frame or find a plan? How much in materials do you figure it would be? Do you have a strong welding background?

I just kinda built it . I knew I wanted it to be 4x5. .i bought the Axle and mounted the wheels and tires . I was able to determine the frame dimensions then . I will be about 1500 when it’s done . But then I am getting matching wheels and tires to my FJ so I would say 2500 all in .

I'd think about protection for those taillights. Looks a tad vulnerable to destruction.
Cool design cues, looks good

I took it down to the truck scale and it is #520lbs. Not bad considering the wheels and tires are at least 200 . When I put my new wheels and tires I should be about 500 .
