I have been trying to figure out the lean as well, only thing I can see is, my left front perch looks bent slightly, which would result in a sagging side.

Maybe Fat Bastard owned this truck and bent the body mounts

I just wanted to mention that all cruisers have that left lean. The axles are not centered, the gas tank isnt centered, the weight just isnt centered. Its just the nature of a cruiser to lean left.

When installing an lift you should notice that one of the springs is for the Right and one for the Left. This is to correct for Cruiser Lean (seriously search that).

Truck looks good, love the progress, wish i was this fast.

I found this out the hard way, I installed the front springs as they were marked (But they are marked for the AU/Right Hand Drive version) so you need to switch the springs around. I didn't do this Forgot too. So this might be the issue.

But, my bump stop is bent outwards, while the other side is straight. This makes me think the top spring perch is bent upwards a little bit.

I might tackle swapping the front springs around and installing the spacer blocks this weekend and take a break from the Subaru. I'm kind hoping this fixes the lean I have (I really don't know how I'm gonna bend the spring perch down otherwise)

After messing around with the 80 today!

Swapped the springs around and installed Man-A-Fre spacers in the front.

I'm looking at buying the Swap bar drop kit from Man-A-Fre for $62, is there any benefit in doing this? Do the handling characteristics change?

I am also looking at the Caster plates sometime.

I removed my sway bar. I can't tell any difference on the road.

My understanding is that plates are for lifts larger than 4"

I'm thinking I might leave the Caster alone, it looks fine, and it sees to drive like it always does, no wondering or anything. Perhaps the 10.5" wide tires are making it handle better, then 12" wide? Although, I still want 35x12!

You don't need the sway bar drops, or the castor plates, those are for bigger lifts. You only went up 3 inches right?

I would go for the yellow bushings and throw them in when you get a chance. I went for several years without adjusting the castor and it was ok, not a lot of wandering, just a little twichy. When I finally got around to pressing the bushings in it was soooo nice, I wish I would of did it right away. Highly recommended.

Don't people change these out as a "Wear Item" ? Where do you buy yours from?

How does anyone fit 35x12" tires on a 1991-'92 80? My 33x10.5s are only like 2" away from the header pipe when turned in.

Anyone have pics of 35s and how they clear?

Take your throttle cable out and lube it up, should be good. I need to do this to mine. 35's should fit with your lift, maybe the 12 inches are too wide tho

Did you get in touch with one of the Mud OEM Toyota Parts vendors? You should be able to save some cash going that route.

More than likely you have a lift on it.

You can fit 35's on a stock 80 but they will rub. Fitting 35's doesn't require much lift at all 2" will do it with no rubbing. 3.5-4 and you can fit 37's and 6in you can fit up to 39's with no cutting.

Yes its a lifted Rig, OME Medium Load front/rear with front Man-A-Fre spacers.

I will have to take a picture of my 33s to show how close they are to the header down pipes, Other than that, 35s look like they would clear with ease.

As for the throttle cable, no I haven't contacted any of the members on here yet about one. I will sooner or later.

So, I am finally getting in gear to rebuild the front axle. I used to have a link in a PM I sent to my self of where I was gonna buy the rebuild kit, but I lost it. Can anyone re-link me to where I should buy the rebuild kit? What I remember is, I can get seals and bearings for both sides for like $120ish?
