Great news today!!

My nail biopsy came back negative, no sign of cancer!!

Just an over abundance of “man cells” in the nail bed sample. Not sure why, but I don’t care... I’m just happy to be cancer-free this time!!

My current nailless finger, before the foil nail was discarded.

I wished I hadn’t looked before dinner! There goes my appetite! Oh well: it’ll come back long before your nail! :p

Great news Danny.

Glad to hear that Danny!

I could have done without the finger picture.😳

Ain't no one wants to see that!

(I am very squeamish about stuff like that - had a bad experience in an emergency room 47 years ago and have yet to "get over it".)

Dialed into your “finger saga” just now... thumbs (or rather finger) up that all is well!
Wife and just got back from a Vegas trip... Damn, I could’ve seen the finger in person 🤣

My finger IS the current top draw in Vegas!!

I only wear a condom when I’m actually putting my finger in harm’s way.

Hey Danny

Since yours is THE unofficially sanctioned non tech thread in the 40 forum, I figured I’d post here. Just had an hour long chat with @Weber Sarge. Kevin sounded in good spirits, and was very glad for the call. Still up to working that crazy highway sheit he does, just waiting for the weather to clear.

He may surface on the forum himself soon enough. :) The guy who bought his truck is still keeping in contact with him about the restoration.

Thanks for the update, Mark!! I miss Kevin (@Weber Sarge) worrying about 44 being overloaded;)

I’d love to see him back on the forum, he’s a font of knowledge and a great guy!!

Changed oil and gear oil and topped off everything else... greased all zerks and knuckles.

Took the boys to Mt Stirling WSA and spent the day driving every road and 2-track we encountered. It was a pretty place, with some good roads and some roads that ran up drainages. The drainages were either deep gravel, or were pretty rough and were boulder-strewn in places, with a couple of steep climbs back out. I was able to negotiate all obstacles and get to the WSA boundary ok.

I had hoped to camp for a couple of nights, but it was all overgrown, with no clear campsites except in drainages with not a hint of a breeze. I knew there were a couple of clearings down close to US95, but by the time I counted four snakes (3 yellow and black gopher and 1 rattlesnake of some sort... I couldn't be sure of the colors), I knew I wouldn't be camping with dogs this trip.

Here are the requisite pics:

If there was no one else out there, you could have camped in the road.

Hypothetically. ;)

Good to know your still getting it out there.Weather has been awesome. Been doing a fair amount of bicycle riding, and planning to get out to the desert camping next weekend with some friends.
