I did change my regulator from 1/2” to 3/4” but I didn’t notice a difference.:hmm:
Maybe when I use multiple devices.

It's 3/4" coming out... but I reduced it to 3/8". 1/2" would be plenty... so I'm not surprised you didn't notice a difference. There'll always be a bottleneck somewhere, unless you run 3/4" hose and have tools designed for 100 CFM.

My problem was the regulator itself would not let enough air through it.

Wired in the interior LED light. It can be aimed for indirect or direct lighting. It also mounts without making any new holes.

As for brightness... if the passenger door was open, it would throw enough light to set up the campsite :D

Found this 'Dome light' on clearance at Walmart for $9. If you can find one, it looks like it'll fit the factory bolt spacing. :D

If I get it installed, it'll be the first time in 26 years my interior light didn't have an aircraft grade aluminum housing with D cells in it. Probably will still have a 3D Mag... never know it might be needed.

Edit... missed adding pic

Any recommendation on the best suppliers for weatherstripping for the front doors. Looking at 72 OEM weatherstripping.

I still need to give Kurt a call. I've got a quote from Beeno. Shipping to Canada is also unavoidable. Any other recommendations?

Kinda Tolstoyish War and Piece in terms of length of build but I like it!

Give us a shout, we stock all the OEM and many aftermarket options. Canada is no problemo shipping

Now that I've sorted out the ground, it's crazy bright... and the install couldn't have been easier. It mounted using the existing bolts and connected to the existing wiring. Its angle can be adjusted for either direct or indirect light. $9 well spent at Walmart.

My faithful copilot :D
If I open the door to get something out, she’ll hop in and curl up in the passenger footwell before I can close it. She seems to figure the kickout vents were put there just for her.

Adding painting bezel white to the list... being black it just seems to disappear.

I’m also considering installing 7” round headlights into the Dick Cepek ‘Driving’ lights that I never use. That way I could have a 4 headlight system that would be ‘street legal’. There is no way I can get away with driving with 130w halogen off-road lights anywhere near the street... although I might be able to get away with fog light bulbs in them.

I go back and forth on my own (Black) bezel - the bezel technically should be white, but I have a white truck. I feel like if I went back to white I’d have the opposite problem you do...I’d lose a white bezel against the white backdrop.

Agreed... black is sucked into the rad... white would blend into the body... you can’t win.

The ‘black’ headlights seem to make it worse.

Does anyone know the width of the spring perches on a 40/45 rear axle vs a 60 rear axle?

The reason I'm asking is that I'm wondering if a newer 60 sway bar could be mounted to the back of my FF 45 axle versus mounting one in the original position and connecting to the front.

I know the front are wider than a 40, but don’t know about the rear spring spacing.

I've driven it some recently, but haven't been well enough to work on it. I sure do like the new exhaust and SBC.

Bought an insurance policy. The P4070 I installed in ‘96 is still going strong, but after 22 years I figured I should at least carry a spare. The old pump seems noisy but I’m not sure if has got louder or if the truck being quieter just makes it sound loud.

@Solace in Solitude bought a pair more recently also. I ended up buying a new one from a hot rodder that he carried as a spare. It was new in the box and made in the USA.

There seem to be two versions of P4070 pumps. Some are 2-4 psi and others are 4-8 psi. I don’t know if the ones made now made in Mexico are lower psi or it’s unrelated that the newer ones are made in Mexico.

I feel more confident in a NOS pump made in the USA rather than a Mexico pump. I don’t know that a Mexico pump wouldn’t be just as good, but a drop in rated pressure in many of the newer pumps makes me leery.

What I do know is that my 22 year old pump pump was made in the USA and I couldn’t be happier with it. Well I would be if it were silent... but better isolation should help with that... besides it’s not like the 40 is silent.
