Even a 400cfm to a 600cfm Holley? Truck avenger? Why doesn't it work? I was going to have the head ported and polished to accommodate

Nothing beats a properly operating factory carb but, lacking that, I'm with Nolen. Either a 32/36 or a 38 Weber.

How much will a weber 38 kit run me? I've already got a 2bbl to 4bbl adapter and a Holley 650cfm 4bbl that I was planning on jetting down to a 600cfm. But if yall think its a bad idea I will take y'all's advice. That's why I'm on this forum.

I believe I paid around $350 shipped for my W38. I also wound up having to purchase a riser plate / adapter so the carb would clear the manifold. Don't know if this would apply on yours or not.

I have a 77 in the shop now with a similar set up. dont do it. Waaaay too much fuel and makes for a pain to start when cold. Weber 38 is the ticket.

What do y'all think of this?

If you put that Holley on that motor we will not answer any more of your questions. Just sayin... Seriously, put a Weber on it and be done. I've never seen a 2F run right with anything but a stock or Weber on it. Had the 38 on mine for years and it works.

I've already priced the weber 38 kit and that's what I'm going to use. Now I need to know how much you wanted for that header.

Jrob has the header. PM him on here.

Hey, what carb is on it now? You can buy a carb from Trollhole on here and do fine with that. It's a factory replacement. Who are you getting the Weber from? Call Bob at TPI 4x4 that's where mine came from.

FYI i needed a fuel regulator to get the weber tuned right. Without that was getting too much gas.

I also have an electronic fuel pump from TPI still in the box that i didn't need...if you go that route let me know.

It's a bare 2F, it has no accessories at all. All I have are my intake and exhaust manifolds and motor mounts from my 1F

I've discovered the 2FE?! It's a kit that incorporates the fuel injection and 3F head to the 2F. Just curious if it's a good idea or if anyone has done it.

No one in CLC has done that but yes it has been done. You might look into the TBI kit from Affordable Fuel Injection for the 2F. Several rigs in the club run that set up and it works well.

Where did you find a kit? Every 2FE build I have read about has been a bastard that has been built up by someone. Curious what comes in this kit. I have read about folks putting them in 60s and 80s and those that have done them seem to be happy with the outcomes, but seems like a lot of work to sort out what goes where. They seem to pick up some low end, but if I was going to that much trouble I would probably do an LS swap and beg @FJ60Cam to come help me make mine as purdy as his.

Interested in what you have found.
