Well I have a friend that just happens to have an SM420 10 spline and Advanced Adapters makes the kits to make it all work. It's just expensive. About $1500

Got the original 1F motor out last night and the 1978 2F motor on the stand. It was a good day. Couldn't have done it without my son's help. Now to take the top, doors, fenders, and windshield off to remove and repair the body tub. While it's off I'll also be sanding and repainting the frame and axles and installing a 4 inch lift and the Narrow SS 34 inch tires.

Now I'm just waiting for some help to move the body tub to the shed so I can sand and repaint the frame and axles. Before the body tub is repainted and put back on a 4 inch lift, new brake lines, a set of new body mount bushings and all the adapters to fit the G.M. muncie SM465 transmission to the stock transfer case and 2F will be installed. I have a lot of work ahead and it's going very slowly because I was laid off from the oilfield a month and a half ago and have yet to find a job.

Well I replaced my 1F with a 2F but I'm keeping my stock 3 speed and transfer case so is there any difference in the F and 2F motor mounts?

I have a set of headers that I took off of my 2F, if you are interested. I only had them on there about a year, they are in good shape.

Nope. 6 into one.

Since we are on the subject, I have been looking for the Offenhauser 4 bbl intake manifold for my 2F for 2 years now, with no luck.
