Very cool, still wonder what japanese designer came up with coral seats and red seat belts! That coral appears to look correct with the contrast of the red seat belts. Sor pics make them look red. You are well on your way to a very nice and period correct lpb!

Got the parts back from the powder coater and the chrome shop.

Not sure what I am going to do with these wing window doors. May save them for another project.

Dropped the bug catcher doors at the body guy's shop last week. Hoping he starts to wrap up his other projects and starts on "The Gray Lady" soon. Leaning towards the T303 Fashion Green from the seventies. Really like the pictures of Mark's (cppilot) "Sage". PPG Deltron 2000 base clear.

Whitey...yah the red seat belts with the coral seats are certainly an odd combo by todays standards.

Can't wait to see the results....

Stopped by both shops this week to check on the progress. The bib had some rust so Tim separated the inner away from the outer panel, blasted, pounded it flat, then sprayed it with a weld thru primer before re-welding it in place. He also made two new wire harness clips found on the lower inside of the bib.

Took the far door out of the paint process at this point and will store it for another project.

Another couple of weeks have passed and progress has been made.

Hood, roof, and windshield have some issues. Hood seems straight with a couple of spots in the corners that need new metal. Tim thinks it should be an easy fix. The windshield needs a lot of work and may be a partial donor to make a FST windshield work. The roof also needs lots of work and it may work out better to get a different roof. Stay tuned.

More pics of the windshield frame. Rust holes clearly visible in the bottom of the frame after sand blasting. Also some of the seams are spreading apart due to rust. A PO's attempt to "patch" the lower corners with fiberglass seems to have not worked.:worms:

Mathew, it's always cool to see that shot of the apron with the script Toyota Land Cruiser on it. Fantastic...... I'm excited for you.

Really good to see the doors brought back to life this way. Makes me really satisfied with the sale.

What are you going to do about the windshield frame?

I think that the top part of my windshield frame is going to be grafted onto the the bottom of the pristine FST w/s frame that Poser supplied. Stay tuned to see if it really happens.
