Well it's a case of, the Good, the Bad and the Ugly around at Mario HQ. The good being the seat rails. I had just enough saturn black left to get them done and they came up really nicely.

Just caught up on your progress Ben, looking really nice. Still waiting on my shed to get stuck into mine so while I wait iv just been driving it.
All the best for the new year

G'day Zimmi, What a great photo. Shots like this provide me with the inspiration to battle on and get it done and thanks for the positive feedback. Whereabouts was the photograph taken. Cheers, Ben

Well I spent the last day of 2017 in the shed welding in a few patches. I couldn't actually think of a better way to end the year to be honest. I've nearly got one corner on the back panel done. It's not perfect, but with a couple of kilograms of bondo and 600 coats of high fill primer it should come up alright. This is how the day started.

your work is awesome mate. i wish i had the time and space to do such things. but for now, i'll just watch you.:)
G'day Indestructible, I wouldn't say awesome. Not by a long shot. Most things look okay after a bit of grinding. Cheers, Ben

P.S. You'll notice there are no images of my welds pre-grinding!

G'day Pauci,

I see the time gods have been kind! Glad to see you're motoring along like a freshly re-ringed 2H with only minimal blow-by. Not only is the truck looking ace, the welds are too! HNY to you, the fam and the 47!

G'day All, Well a degree of normalcy is returning to our lives. The school year is about to get underway and we are back from a couple of weeks holiday in an area of South Australia called the Lime Stone Coast. I grabbed a couple of photos on the way. The first one is a wheat silo in western Victoria and a couple of other random shots.

Now onto some Land Cruiser stuff. I picked this lot up the other day. 8 litres of Beige 464, 500 mls of Cygnus white 012, 4 litres of high fill primer, some seam sealer and a 4 litre kit of tintable Raptor liner. The Raptor liner included the shutz gun which was good.

We are in the middle of a heat wave at the moment with temperatures hovering around 40 degrees (I think this is about 100 fahrenheit) so I have avoided the shed. I'm pretty close to finishing the rear window panel. The bottom corners are complete. There are a few rust spots on the top, but nothing too hideous. I've also introduced a 'safety first' policy in the shed this year, much to Molly's disgust.
