Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Can you share the dealer?

Torrington Toyota in CT. It's some backwater dealer that got dropped the LC on them and had trouble moving it, I think it sat for 1.5 months?

Carmax in Laurel MD had a 3-row HE in silver for $81338, which I was to buy before I found out it's a 3-row that I did not want.

Other dealers would not deal, the 3rd best was $83500 at Darcars in Silver Spring, MD.

It seems they are still being unloaded from the boat, so if you shop around you may score a deal.

Looking at a 2014 with 120k in the northeast...pictures of the underbody attached. Whatcha guys think? Run for the hills or acceptable for a vehicle in this area?

<removed rusty underbody pics>

Hard pass!!!

Keeping looking. Even in the NE you can find clean or at least much cleaner examples than the above.

Yea agreed. This is the car:
Very nice exterior/interior and service history.

Paid $83,500 with a sticker of $88,500 for a white ‘21 base in early January; got $700 more on trade-in than anywhere else.

Thought that was a fair deal with the news of discontinuing; but some ppl on here have found some great deals.

This was 2mi from the house, so I was willing to pay a slight premium for that.

Im in the market for a 2020/2021 Heritage Edition in black. I’m looking to buy in the next month, but no later than March 15 when my current lease runs out so I’m just getting started in my research.

I’m finding stuff in Autotrader MSRPing at 89-92k. What’s a good discount in the Southern California area for black on black heritage (2 row)? I would be happy with anything under 82 - thrilled if I could get it below 80.

Has anyone had good experiences with dealers in the SoCal area? Also, I can pay it cash but I’ve heard it’s better to finance and then pay it off right away - the idea being the dealer will make more on interest on loan so would be willing to sell you a better up front discount. Any truth to that?

Call @Eric Sarjeant. I wouldn’t worry about buying local. He can ship it to you, and you will still probably come out ahead.

Food for thought. I have been checking dealers in central / north Alabama and there are quite a few new base and HE between them all. Someone looking for new should check them out. I believe Bill Penney Toyota in Huntsville and Serra Toyota in Birmingham are both volume dealers. Some of the smallers ones seem to have at least one in stock as well.

Hello all, first post here. I’m looking to get into the 200 series club. I’m looking at a 2015 LX with 82k miles on it. Has every package available at the time on it. One owner, no rust, with great service records at the Lexus dealer. I’ve read through this thread, but I’m still not confident on what would be a fair but good deal on this vehicle. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Roughly 40-50K. That's the last year of that body and interior style with not bad miles. What do they want for it? Make sure the AHC system has been serviced around the 60K mile mark.

They are asking $40k for it. Service record shows 60k service done with oil change, power steering flush, and then just shows on the parts list brake fluid and “suspension fluid”. So, I’m guessing the AHC was serviced?

As someone just wrapping up the purchase of a 2021 LC (Blizzard/Terra), I would suggest anyone who wants a new one to get to buying/ordering ASAP. Inventories are dwindling and prices are going up. I managed to get roughly $2k off MSRP, but that's the best deal I could cut after talking to probably 10-12 dealers. Many dealers are holding to MSRP (and some are over MSRP by a few thousand dollars), even ones that would have discounted a month or two ago. I think they're seeing demand spike, and the supply is going to shrink fast. And when that happens, prices are going to keep going up.

If you can get more than $2-3k off MSRP, you're doing well, assuming the Heritage market is similar to the non-HE market.

Find the vehicle you want in stock and negotiate the best deal you can. You may or may not be able to order at this point and if you wait you might miss out.

Paid $68k for a 2018 Land Cruiser (White/Terra) with 17k mileage. Was a Florida vehicle and in great condition overall. Owner kept it garaged.

May have paid a little bit over, but got the color combo I wanted. Also, got tired of searching daily and going to each of my sites multiple times each day. I am sure some of you know what I mean, lol.

I picked up my 2021 magnetic gray/black base model and am now on my drive home. I flew to Detroit from CO and found the best deal in the country. If you want the best deal I would call Dave Raddliffe @ Szott M-59 Toyota, 724-765-7719, they will make orders while they can. Great people and family owned, I was impressed. They have asked me not to mention the price, but I had searched for over 2 months before I pulled the trigger. I told them what I was seeing on prices across the country and they will be worth the call! Now I am driving back to CO doing a nice easy break in and going to sell my 2016. Good luck!

I just did about the same thing as you, but limited my search to the western states. Drove 10 hours from San Diego County to Utah and picked up a 2021 Mag Grey / Black / Base too.

Here she on the way home...

I've gone back about 10 pages and this seems like a pretty decent deal to me, but wanted to ask for other's opinions as well.

No accidents, rust-free, southern, 2-owner 2010 LX, 135k miles, in my preferred color. Records look good, but not sure on WP, starter, and radiator. I'd have it shipped to me in Chicago. Asking $26.5k -- seems pretty set on that price.

Thoughts?

Just a data point for comparison's sake:
Picked up a used 2019, Blue Onyx/Terra, 24k miles, for $71k out the door (no sales tax here but that includes some .5% privilege tax as well as doc and DMV fees). It was a 1 owner vehicle, purchased originally in 05/2019.

It was probably a bit on the high side but the climate for purchasing pretty much any Toyota 'truck' in the PNW is competitive and this one fit the bill and was available. Ultimately it was a fair price for me and we were given the upper end of what I researched for my trade as well.
