Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

I paid $50k for pristine rust-free 2015 with 50k miles in Sep 2018.

Now 62k miles. Curious what would I get for it. Still pristine & rust-free.
$45-47k

2020 LX570 just came up for sale by me in maine. Asking 87K. 3000 miles on it.
I don't know the details but just saw if and figured I would share.

I also have a 2015 and have a platinum warranty until 8yr/125k miles, mine has ~75k miles. I think you could get mid to high 40's, but I have not been checking recent sales. There does seem to be a step up into the 16+ model years, but I bought a 2016 last fall for $52k w/70k miles. I might have over paid on that one, but here in CO good used LC tend to go real quick.

Yeah, I also have certified platinum warranty till 122k & Sep 2024.

Anyhow, very unlikely I'll be selling mine anytime soon. Planing to keep both, including a new 21 HE.

Btw, Carmax in Laurel, MD has a brand new 2021 3-row silver HE 2021 for $81338. This is quite a screaming deal if one wants a 3-row. Their webpage lists it as 2-row. I had a hold on it till today, call tomorrow you may snag it. Don't ask me how I found out it's a 3-row....

Anyone ever seen this in a Toyota service record? One would presume that a new windshield was installed but, interestingly enough, there is not a part number listed like usual.

Thoughts?

That is the recalibration of the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), aka Safety Sense. It is a good thing and required after new windshield replacement.

Thanks for chiming in, @nolamule . So, judging from the record, do you believe a new windshield was installed during this service?

I believe so yes. To me it looks like the service order was for “body/trim, recalibrate windshield” and the work performed was “new windshield and calibration.”

The dealer most likely did not replace the windshield themselves, but rather had a local windshield shop do the work. The local shop can't calibrate the windshield. That's why you see no record of the windshield replacement but you do see the record of the recalibration.

Checked out a 2008 LX570, 1 owner, no accidents, Louisiana vehicle, 80k mi for $30K. Problem is there aren't many service records and Carfax says it was a Corporate vehicle. Didn't see many records on Carfax, Auto Check or Lexus Drivers other than registration and recall. I wonder if this was a rental or a corporate vehicle. First 3 years it had 52k mi on it and the last 9 years it's only had 26k mi on it. The history is lacking but the thing is PRISTINE. Headlights aren't fogged up or hazy, paint still seems good without any fading, and the frame is rust free. Suspension components seem tight. Interior is very well kept other than some things like the little coin and USB/aux doors a little sloppy. Other than that everything mechanically & electronically (windows, mirrors, sunroof, hvac, seat heaters, etc) seemed to be well appointed and working. 4WD system engaged, disengaged, locked without problem. Although it took a few tries to get it to go smoothly, doubt it's ever been in 4Lo it's entire life. I'm having a nearby Lexus do a PPI on it to be sure.

What do you guys think? Would you be wary of a vehicle with such low miles, in that condition that doesn't have many records? Other concern was a flood vehicle but Carfax and Autocheck didn't report it. I hope to get more information and insight from the Lexus tech when it gets the PPI done.

That's a good buy. Report back what the PPI shows.

Took the LX to the local Lexus dealership. There was a little leak around the lower oil pan and the dipstick gasket. Dealer said it wasn't a big deal and they just need to pop it open, clean off the old sealant and apply the new one and let it harden. Cost from dealer is about $500 but I'll see if I can get it done cheaper at a local Toyota/Lexus specialist. Other than that the front brakes & rotors were worn and I was missing the driver side engine bay cover which I don't need anyways. So nothing major that can't have an OEM fix. Funds are being transferred to the dealership and I should be picking her up in 2 days. I tried to haggle them to see if they could lower the price because of the oil pan leak but they literally had like 8 people wanting to put a deposit on the vehicle after I did. A few mud members included, you know how you are :p. Also couldn't negotiate the $499 dealer fee off it either with how many people were wanting to buy the vehicle. So all in all, $29,997 + $499 dealer fee. I'll likely be doing a refresh of all the fluids along with new rotors/pads, air filters and the typical wear stuff. So probably another $1000-$2000 to baseline it.

Glad to be finally joining the 200 series crew. Been looking for a while and didn't pull the trigger 2-3 years ago when the market was reasonable (regret that) so I jumped on this deal when I saw it since the market is so inflated now. It's not my favorite color (black) but the exterior/interior condition, low miles, and price were hard to beat. It'll be a more mild and functional build with drawers, storage ideas, roof rack, and geez some functional cup holders. I have a pretty built up 5th gen 4R that will be used for more trail duty. The LX will likely be more of the DD, ski chalet, and long road trip ride.

Sharing some pictures from the dealer since I can't take better pictures anyways

She's a beauty! Glad everything worked out for you...

I realized after we chatted that it didn't have the cool box. That made me feel better about missing out. First world problems and all that ;)

Thanks!!! Yes it is missing the cool box and the heated steering wheel. Although I prefer the normal center console storage since vehicles in this era lack compartments for your wallet, phones, and water bottles.

In that case, it worked out perfectly for both of us. I've got a couple of leads I'm following up on and hope to join you in the 200 owners club in a week or so.

If you're ever up in Nashville (and this pandemic ever ends), first round is on me.

I'm looking at a 2013 LX570 at a dealer. I went to pull the service history on the Lexus website, and I came across the following incident.
Screen Shot 2021-01-13 at 9.24.14 PM.webp

Looks like the vehicle was repaired at a separate body shop because the next service note states that an alignment was performed after the body shop work. The vehicle was then sold as a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) at a Lexus Dealership around 20K miles later. Does the CPO designation really mean anything with respect to the adequacy of the repairs and assurance of longevity? Would a collision such as this throw anyone off and prevent you from purchasing?

Also: later on in the service history, there was a mention of rodent damage and later a squirrel was removed from the engine... The description of the service notes that cardboard and hot sauce were installed??? Surely that is short hand for something, right? Like surely, they didn't just pour hot sauce in the engine compartment.

Two huge red flags - I suggest keep looking.

Sure. The hot sauce keeps the rodents out.
Fair enough! I guess that's a practical/cheap solution, but I'm trying to imagine the situation where a luxury brand car dealership tells a customer that they slathered the engine of their luxury vehicle ($80K+ MSRP) with some hot sauce. Just a funny situation in my mind's eye.

Hey guys, I have a lead (neighbor) about to sell his white 2010 LC with 80k miles. I'm a 100 series guy, but can't pass this up. My wife would be quite happy with it ;) What is the FAIR price, and what's a GOOD price, and what is the PASS price? Thanks! Assume its been properly maintained.
