Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Eh... Maybe I agree to disagree.

Used LX700OT already at $105k. That's what, $10k in less than a year... Which could mean $25k more in say 2 to 3 years, that makes it around $80 ish in 3.5 or so years total. Put $5k here or there, not to be exact, but y'all get the idea.

These are ESPECTACULAR vehicles , absolutely ! But there aren't "specially" cars like a "special " 911 for example.

True for the 600. Not sure for the 700OT. I do not see the 700OT dropping to $80k territory any time before 8 to 10 years from now.

You may be right (or not) just time will tell. 8 years might have been too much, but you never know. See these 4/5 year-old 200 selling for MSRP. 500miles from me the lowest I see is around $106k with 10k miles. Heavily dependent on miles too. In my experience, usually the biggest drop from msrp is the first year, then it stabilizes a bit loosing less and less - again depending on miles. In 3 years, I would bet on $90ks for a low mileage one. Also inflation keeps pressure on these numbers, so $90ks in 3 years is different from $90ks now.

The guys dropping 6 figures on a 200 Series (with the LC badge just to clarify) are not interested in the new LX if I had to guess. As much as those of us who currently or previously owned a 200 enjoyed little to no depreciation and even APPRECIATION in some cases that just won’t ever be possible for something that you’re able to go buy brand new off the showroom floor.

700OT’s are so far showing a 20% hit year one and I’d wager will have another 10% year over year after that. Which to be clear, is still really good residual compared to pretty much any other brand out there.

IDK...I am seeing a lot of folks cashing out on their HEs (taking advantage of the craziness at BAT) and jumping ship to the OTs (who knows? maybe even some are about to here? ;) ). Now that I own one, I secretly hope Lexus soon axes the OT and make it rare same as the HEs. 😅 Not sure on the production numbers for OTs sent to the US, but it is got to be a tiny fraction of 700s - which are already a tiny fraction of LXs. Since picking mine back in November, I saw maybe one other - a black one - and nothing else here in H-town.

If they axe the OT they will skyrocket like the HEs. If the OT gets a 4.0 V8 hybrid or major upgrades then they'll come back to reality. The used market was better when there was always a newer model to wear the Crown. I hate seeing these as collector cars.

Don't worry, everyone has put the Land Cruiser badging on their D-pillar. Everyone trying to say they've got an HE these days.

I apparently also missed the memo on the requirements to keep an HE stock; but then again, mine has been in a front end accident (repaired with only OEM parts) so there is a Ship of Thesius conundrum going on with mine.

Most recent HE BaT auction went way lower than the others. To be fair, I think there were like 3 buyers all bidding on those ones from last week and they all got one so I would be surprised to see 130k+ on ones that aren’t sub 10k miles moving forward

Nah. One's a Toyota Land Cruiser, the other's a Lexus. Turns out, the branding/naming really matters. (see the 250 situation - lol)
Nah...the 250 is a Prado. The OT is in the same category of the HE. It is just the newer/modern version of it and is the only one available in the US - plus it is 3xlocked. The whole LC worthing more than LX thing happened (and still does) with the 200, because both models were/are available for purchase. People really prefer the LC name/badge. Not the case with the 300 (at least for now).

That said, if the past is any indication of what may happen in the future, look at the 80 series sales in here, BAT and CB. Does not really matter if LC or LX, if it is an Anniversary Edition or a 3x locked, prices shot through the roof.

Agree. That black one that went for $137k with 45kmiles was just a BAD purchase and the buyer got carried away by two other dudes pulling the bids.

2019 LC (non-HE) with ~19k miles just popped up at CarMax Serramonte for $88k. Price is a little higher, but for a single-owner car that's early in its life it looks like a good buy.

Feels a touch high but not crazy given current market.

Every now and then if you watch the car listing sites like a hawk you can find a reasonably good deal on these. You have to pounce quick though as often times they either sell or the price is increased. Case in point there was a silver Heritage Edition with 45k or so miles, looked to be a clean truck. Dealer was Chicago Motorcars. They had it listed for $84k for a day. When I checked the next day they raised their ask to $99k. It sold a couple days later.

I called about that car; think they got caught off guard since LCs aren’t in their wheelhouse. Same thing happened at two AutoNation dealers (Land Rover South Bay & BMW Dallas) that had trade ins.

Think Chicago Motor is trying to make a quick buck because I was looking to get the 2021 HE (Black/Black; 38k; 1 owner) they have listed now at auction, albeit at a much lower price than the $130k they have it listed at.

I tried to purchase this cruiser yesterday, but said they said that they could only sell to a California resident because of the duplicate electronic title?
