I found the VIN. Went to the Toyota dealer in july where it shows "This was in a wreck" and needs body harness and washer fluid harness.Holy moly. I wish i wasnt getting a roof put on my house right now because i'd be buying this joker.

Had a PPI on the lower mileage vehicle - roughly $5k in maintenance needed to baseline it. Yikes. They were pretty candid that the vehicle was overpriced by at least that much, based on what they found. Used dealer had the response you’d expect. Generally speaking, it just was not really maintained well at all.
Frankly, deferred maintenance and other gremlins have me scared enough to shop well maintained TLCs in the $50k range. Was hoping to score a deal by going older LX but am realizing more and more that what I’m chasing in a worry-free ownership experience. Just want the damn thing to work.
That in mind, I’ve tracked down a couple of Land Cruisers, both around 100k on the clock, both at $53-55k (dealer and private seller, respectively), both with good maintenance history. How’s that for a deal? Is trying to get in the door at $50k mark a lowball?

2014 LX with 26k miles for $40k seems like a fair price.
He had it listed a few months back and I spoke with him about buying it. At the time, he was having a hard time finding a replacement vehicle and decided to hold of on selling it. Well wouldn't you know, three weeks after me finding one, he decides to move ahead with the sale. Seems like an honest seller, he's a doctor at the hospital close to him and barely drives it. The right lower corner of the rear bumper is pushed in a bit.

Good looking out. I’ve zeroed in on an ‘18 LC with 105k on the clock but otherwise very solid condition. Seller is looking for $52k which seems reasonable based on my (limited) knowledge.

I just inquired. Looks like it has been fluid filmed. Interior is fair at best. No service records or history according to the dealer.

Is the undercoating a bad thing? In Florida so not familiar but want this truck
I don’t know if bad is the right word but I’d certainly prefer not to have it. The product is actually intended to keep rust from forming but the stuff is very messy if you’re underneath doing your own wrenching from what I understand. I am not sure what you are supposed to do if you get it to a dry, sunny climate like ours down south. Ideally just let it dry or wear/wash away over time?
Undercoating probably indicates it was taken care of.
It depends on h9w bad the rust was before treatment.
I've personally seen this truck in the area and it was gorgeous.
I can't speak to the undercarriage but I'm impressed with how fast this thread was on this one. I believe it was just listed last night.
