Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Purchased new 2021 LC200 from dealer Dec 2020. List $87.8K paid $79.3K or ~ 9.68% off MSRP.
I think a lot of 2021's were still selling for ~10% off MSRP too.
Yup.

Once COVID lockdowns happened this wasn't the case. At least in most markets. Especially with the HE.
Manipulated with the help of PPP, free money, disposable income from not traveling and you would be guaranteed to flip it for higher (Mainly other cars). Pure mania.

Still a lot of money lingering but the credit event has already started. Time will humiliate most of us.

But for laughs

Feel like a great deal on this one, congrats! Save some for the rest of us haha. Rare to see one so clean at that mileage, so this gets two thumbs up from this reviewer for value.

2014 Black LX570 177k miles, $32k - New OEM radiator and upper/lower hoses replaced recently. All service records through 175k on Lexus website, couple rust photos of underneath below:

Thoughts?

Too rusty for me and WAY overpriced. I don't care if it's a 2014..177k miles is a lot. Mid 20s at best in my cheapass opinion.

For folks that have been looking for a while I want to share my input in the LC200 forum post in response to lx price cost post

Regarding the price: I can't really say definitely for LX market, but suspect it is the similar as what I've been seeing for LC. There is more supply for LXs so probably not as bad.

Here is a rough example for quite a few listings - if the trade in appraisal values is $30k, private sale around $35k and dealer price is $40k-45k. I see a lot of private seller list for 48k-50k, yes ridiculously above dealer prices, not all but a lot.

When checking many appraisal sites, KBB, nada, edmunds, etc. what you see does not support the private sale number the seller wants. When you ask, they will tell you they don't transaction at that price, but the disconnect is that they do and dealer prices do match KBB, nada and edmunds. Some of them will wait months before admitting if they don't get let's say get mid of what dealer price is they will just keep it. So the answer to your question, there are quite a few sellers who want to beat dealer price or they don't want to sell.

When the car is listed in good condition, priced fairly, it will be gone within couple of days if not on the same. But in today's market this is becoming rare.

Condition of the vehicle (fair, clean, excellent etc) vs what is being asked for, is totally a different story. Quality of used cars, not just LX or LCs have dramatically dropped across all used cars.

Just keep in mind appraisal values are ranges, so if it tells you 35k, it actually maybe be 32 to 39, if you find a gem, don't hesitate to add few Ks.
Just sharing for those who are looking not to despair if your experience has been similar. While I agree excellent condition gems demand a premium, you shouldn't settle for anything less if condition and maitenance history does not command a premium if it does be ready to pay up for a nice truck.

This is why I think LC 250 may absorb some buyers. Savings on gas with 27 mpg combined is enough to pay for extended warranty from Toyota on the 4 cylinder turbo and save some on top. Probably not in the first year mark ups but after.

Finally get to join in after lurking a long time. Picked up a 2015, SLM on Black LX570. Under 75k, all options including adaptive cruise. Very clean, TX and New Mexico car with full service history. Got them to throw in new Michelin LTXs. $42,900. Now to let the mods begin!

My 2011 L..c was deemed a total loss earlier this week due to being in a 3 car motor vehicle accident. So I'm back on the streets for another 200.I found these three 200's forsale locally to me, and thought I'd get some input on them since the prices are all over the place.

Between the 3 and in your situation I'd jump at that LX.
Just broken in at 100k.
Fair price, I would compare with the 16 plus and see which one works for you.

I would love to get everyone's onions on how I priced my LX.

I am very sad to sell it but with everything going on, it is what it is.

I think my asking is fair but I wanted to hear from others too. Either way I am losing $$$$$$.

The guy above you just posted a lx570 that’s 4 years newer with 100k less miles for 1k less than what you are asking. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I think your truck is overpriced.
