Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

You guys trying to break into a 200 for the cheapest price possible need to be careful and really think it through. I dont know how many miles you have on your Tacoma (and I don’t want to be insulting in any way), but selling that truck for an LX with that many miles and for that much coin is probably not the best course of action.

I’ve been trying to get into another LC (2013-2015) and I’m seeing trucks sit. I believe prices will come down a bit by the end of the year - especially with where interest rates are going. Less and less people are going to want to borrow money.

Be patient, keep saving, and get yourself a newer truck with less miles.
Solid advice and I greatly appreciate the wisdom.
Definitely true that I'm trying to get in to the cruiser world for cheap... which is always risky.
Looks like I'll sit this one out and wait for something with lower miles at similar pricing if not a bit more.
Thanks for the reply

I came from the Tacoma platform as well.
Solid truck.

You will probably need to budget for sub $30k to get an LX in the 180k ballpark mileage.
Good luck man, these trucks are awesome!

Posted this in the 200 series/ LX 570 forum but this seems like a great spot to get some insight into pricing.
I'm selling my 3rd gen tacoma and hoping to move to the LX platform as 200 series are out of my budget.
I've found one on a lot locally with 250k, priced at 22k, with an excellent service history from Lexus.
Services every 5-10k miles. I've been scouring online resources and while this seems high, and not quite the unicorn, I'm wondering if it's fair...
Thanks in advance! Hoping to join the LC/LX club soon!
Ok. I did a similar thing in 2015. I bought a 2007 lx470 with 258k miles on it for 15k. In the 3 years I owned it, the ac condenser failed, an .02 sensor failed, and the radiator failed. None of these issues left me stranded. I paid cash for the 470, which eliminated my last car payment. I sold it on mud for 9k, and it’s still knocking around with 330k miles on it

These trucks are built to last. Imo, a big, safe, comfortable lx570 at a 22k price point is very attractive, regardless of miles.

The bottom seems to be falling out of the 200 series market. I am seeing LC for under $30k with under 200k. I have seen multiple over 120k mile LX drop $5k in the last month. I have also seen a few that are under $20k. I never used to see a 2013 LX for less than 30k, but there are several every week now.The rate hike next week is sure to reduce the numbers of buyers as well. I don't see any upside in this market for at least the next 6 months, and more likely a couple years.

3 Months ago this would have never happened.

To pile on, apparently vehicle repossessions are also going to rise significantly in the coming months Washington, DC apparently is seeing something like a 23% reposession rate on used cars now - per Graham Stephan on twitter thread a few days ago). I'm not insinuating there will be a flood of 200s, but rather the overall used car market will be returning to what we would consider "normal" over the next 6-12 months, which best I can tell will benefit all buyers. As was stated before, keep saving your money and wait for the right deal for you.

I’m looking at 2017-2019 200 series and I found what seems to be a decent deal. 2017 77,000 miles for $64,000 . However, it’s a vehicle from the North East. I was thinking I could sand blast and powder coat the frame and axels. This is a vehicle I would drive for 10+ years, do you think I am starting a war with rust if I buy this or is this something that can be taken care of?

That's a lot of rust for a 5-year-old vehicle. I'd say, keep looking as there are better deals out there.

That looks very similar. I was amazed at how much rust can take hold after just 4-5 years.

They changed the pricing on this to about $27,500. How they screwed up the initial listing though...
They probably posted what they paid for the thing initially.

Looking to pick up a late model 200 2018-2021. Seeing all the options, is 25-35k miles any cause for concern if the truck is clean and rust free for a 2021?

The only cause for concern with a 2021 is the likelihood that you’re going to grossly overpay.

Understood, but on the other side I'm selling a 2019 f250 diesel king ranch loaded up so I'm making up for it going in.

The cruiser will be a long hold and daily for maybe a year or two at most.

I've got a 21 with 16k miles on it. I don't even drive it that much aside from a single cross country trip last Christmas. 30k miles is nothing.
