antigravity XP-10 is great! I have one, and we use them at work a lot. They are killer, and will jump off a fire truck (seriously....it will)! Super impressed.

Thank you all for your input - although I all that I've gathered is that there is no clear leader when factoring in cost. I'll probably go NoCo, AntiGravity, or the Amazon Cheapy that @codertimt suggested. I did a little more research though and I've come across the below Stanley J5C09 jump box-compressor combo, which is appealing since I also need a compressor (I also posted a compressor question yesterday over on the General Tech forum). I'm not sure what spec to look at to determine this - Can anyone tell if the compressor in the Stanley J5CO9 is on par with those that link directly to the battery or is it weaker like a 12V outlet compressor? What specification do you look for to determine this?

Other than weight/bulk, is there any disadvantage to either style? For me it's either a Li-Ion Mini-Pack and the Viair 88P/Masterflow-1050 compressor or this semi-old school Stanley 1000 combo pack. Thoughts?

How will these packs work if left fully charged in your trunk in the winter (0-20 degrees). Will theydischarge over time or should they be kept in a warm place until use

I found that in winter in Southern California, they will drop 5-10% or so over the course of a month. Night time temps were around 30. This was in relation to my 2m/70cm HT, Delorme Sat Com, and Portable jump pack. All have Li-ions or Lipos. I have not looked into it with the hotter temps, so I am not sure how it scales.

I bought a bunch for x-mas for my family. I haven't used mine to jump a car but have used it a few times to charge my phone when I didn't have another source.

I am not sure how the Stanley pack is, but I have a Viair88P and that little sucker works really well for its size and price. I was pretty impressed. It is no ARB compressor, but will kick the pants off of the little cigarette lighter ones.

I used to use my knockoffs to start the genny on my toy hauler before I replaced the battery. Then one trip my Ford 7.3 batteries went dead. I hooked up the pack and after about 5 minutes it actually started it. I'm impressed.

I have an antigravity XP-10 that I've used a ton. It's going back for warranty as the case is bulging. I also have two Suaoki G7 600A Peak 18000mAh Portable Car Jump Starters that were cheaper (90) but I haven't used as much.
Sent in the battery a week ago, and had a new one in the mail yesterday. Not sure if new or refurbed, but pretty fast turnaround from Anitgravity warranty service. No bulge in the new case!

I just bought the XP-1 on Amazon. Sold by Antigravity Batteries, fulfilled by Amazon. Came factory shrink-wrapped.

Thank you for submitting your warranty registration or question to Antigravity Batteries (AGB). We have received your email. If you have any questions regarding the unit or warranty please call us at 310 527 2330 for a more immediate response.

IMPORTANT!!! PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION ON NON-AUTHORIZED ANTIGRAVITY BATTERIES RESELLERS ON AMAZON and EBAY.

Due to the popularity of some of our products we have encountered Sellers/Companies participating in unlawful and/or un-Authorized reselling of our products on the Amazon and Ebay platforms. We do not warranty products sold by un-Authorized Sellers due to the fact that we cannot confirm or verify whom they are as a company and if the product is in fact authentic and/or new.

The typical un-Authorized seller is offering Antigravity Batteries MICRO-START products at an extremely low price in an effort to entice the buyer into buying from them. But the fact is are not an Authorized Reseller of our products, and the product will not be warrantied by Antigravity Batteries. All companies selling our products must Authorized so we know the product they sell is a new and ORIGINAL Antigravity Batteries and MICRO-START Product.

If you believe you have purchased a MICRO-START or other Antigravity Product from one of these "un-Authorized" Sellers please reply. We will respond with a list of seller who are, at this time, un-Authorized.

We ask that you return the product back to the "un-Authorized Dealer" and report this to Amazon and to the Seller. The fact is "un-Authorized" Sellers on Amazon are fully aware they are not authorized, so they should not be purchased from or they will continue this mis-leading practice.

Yeah, but it is there store on Amazon.

Careful with that... "by Antigravity Batteries" does not necessarily mean it is sold be Antigravity. It may or it may not, I don't know. I think that is just a matter of how the seller fills in the boxes.

Here's another amazon seller... look closer and the seller is BESTSELLER21. After that email reply I received in post #31, I asked Antigravity which Amazon sellers were authorized. I didn't receive a response after that.

When I did my research, Antigravity was on top of my wishlist, but there were so many reports of Amazon 3rd party sellers selling counterfeit ones. At the same time Amazon was offering a good coupon on Battery Tender Lithium Jump Starter, so I ended up with the Battery Tender. Maybe not so fancy as the Antigravity, but it jumps a cold V8 no problem and it's much cheaper, and sold by Amazon directly I had no worry about counterfeit. Also, I had good experience with other Battery Tender products. Just my 2c.

When I bought last summer there were no cheap options... I included a copy of my Amazon receipt. They never called or emailed, just shipped out a new battery.

A few years later... im in a market for another jump battery pack for my next trip ( i had the XP1 and gave it to my dad) . There seems to be so many more options on amazon now. Anything new and better people recommend?
