The plan is to play in the Montana Mountain area. Relatively easy, stocker friendly, everyone welcome trail. Meeting at the Gold Canyon Bashas at 9:00am.

Something away from I-17 or 87 so we don't get stuck in traffic on the way home?

well, quite a bit of I-17 can be avoided by going on dirt roads - just sayin'

I doubt it would get us into town any faster, though

Nope. Two laptops, wireless.

The laptop is going to be my workplace come Tuesday. The Center in Baton Rouge is closed, as is the airport. We'll be here a little longer than planned.

Cool! I mean, uh, that's too bad. Now, where are we going, and when? :D

FWIW, I vote for something cool and piney. I don't know of any other trails around Payson, but that's where I'd go if it were my choice and I knew of a place.

For those too lazy to scroll back up: Montana Mountain Trail tomorrow.

Basha's parking lot, Gold Canyon, meet 0900 hours.

33 mile loop off of Hwy 60, Massey/Wilson difficulty rating 4, scenery rating 9. Wells rates it easy/moderate. Gets us up to 5400ft elevation. I remember neat views from up there.
