I have Monday Jan 3rd off and not holding much hope but though I would post up to see if someone wants to get out to the desert. It's supposed to rain Monday but it's a less than 50% chance for rain out in Borrego and less than 40% out in Ocotillo. So I thought I would get out and flex the new Iron Man suspension with the :princess:.

Anybody else wanna get away from the rain? :steer:

OK, well I had a feeling I wouldn't get any takers but that's all right. We are just going to do a nice leisurly ride and stay pretty close to Ocotillo.

The plan is to take S2 West and explore the South side of it. Taking the first trail off to the left called Dos Cabezas Rd. out to Mortero Palms, come back on Mortero Wash to the train tracks and West to Volcanic Hills.
Then we might scout out the 4 Palm Oasis off of Bow Willow Camp Ground.
And if we still have time we will hit up Indan Gorge North & South Legs.

So wish us luck and here is a PDF map of the area (Bottom Right):

Mark,

Have you posted any pics of your rig with the new lift on it?

Well we had a good 4 hours of wheeling off of S2. What I thought was going to be some scenic simple washes and tough to find a spot to flex ended up being more! We ended up going through a little squeeze and down a verry rutted drop-off with a turn half way down. I would say it is a better drop off than Diablo or The Slot.
Downloading the photos now so hopefully the :princess: got some good shots!

Oh yeah and very HAPPY with the suspension. I no longer have a saggy A$$! :D

Looks much better with the lift Mark, nice!

Looking good Mark.

I explored that area last year and really liked it. The flower bloom was better there than Coyote Canyon with a fraction of the crowd. I plan on going back in Feb-Mar to camp out and enjoy the bloom.

Yeah, I really think this was the perfect lift for me. After a day or so of driving I was used to the feel of it and it didn't feel taller to me anymore except when I get in and out. :D

I can still move through the washes at a nice speed but my rear bumper is finally off the ground and not dragging A$$ all over the place. Now if these Coopers would finally wear out I can step up to 35's
