I would like to go and hopefully COMOChris and another owner too. Me and my Gf and 8 year old. But he is not out of school until the 21st (with no snow makeup days). I'll watch the thread and join if it works.

I did not have as much luck as when searching spots for Colorado trip...may be that a lot is already booked.

A lot of townhouse and condo rentals mostly is what I found, so I stayed away from those. Didn’t leave a lot for large groups. I searched for accommodations for 12 adults at least. May 12th-22nd:

Checks a lot of boxes: good parking, hot tub, outdoor area (may not be pet friendly though)

Vacation Rentals, Homes, Experiences & Places - Airbnb - https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/40634357?adults=12&check_in=2021-05-12&check_out=2021-05-22&source_impression_id=p3_1609615145_HBORv427e8UgSDlS&guests=1

Pricier, but large and checks boxes and pet friendly:

Newly furnished, dog-friendly, mountain view home w/ a private hot tub - Moab South Valley - https://www.vrbo.com/1623940?adultsCount=12&arrival=2021-05-12&departure=2021-05-22&unitId=2185263

Mentions room for 10 rigs and trailers. Main house and guest house included:

Family-sized property (main house & studio) with private hot tub - dogs welcome! - Moab South Valley - https://www.vrbo.com/1292891?adultsCount=12&arrival=2021-05-12&departure=2021-05-22&unitId=1844039

Canyonlands or Slickrock in my opinion. Both have trees and shade. The little roofs over the tent areas at slickrock for added shade is cool too. Might be worth just trying to see if it ends up being a go-to for future trips. 👍

Each person could choose their time that way. The rv sites can take 2 tents. They also have small cabins.

Some things have come up and we won’t be able to make this one.

Slickrock also offers a military/veteran discount, Buy 2 nights get a third for free. code: 21SALUTE.

Time to act! Need your help getting this done.... Awesome strange news here.

2021 TAC trip is going to stay at Slickrock. May 12th - 22nd.

I talked with the manager last night and the website is not accurate, you can try to reserve online and see if you can check out - usually it will not process he says.

Here is the deal, they are adding onto their park, so there is a bunch of spaces - small ones with power that are not on the website. There are also more tent camping available. So, if I get back to him quickly, today, he will slate us for those spots and they will be together.

Since I need room for my trailer, I just reserved a pull through site #35. Site 108. Plan for Rob and I to use same big pad and it is near the tent camp side.

So, what do people want? Here is the curent list.... Do you just want a tent, or want site with power/water?

McCartney (Vet) power/water
Morse power/water
Colin (vet) power/water
Erik Power/water

We can always cancel, but what all do you want?

@cjmoon @SammyT96LX450 @DEW1 @DLPDLP Who else?

I cannot attend those dates as my boy is still in school. DLPDLP

The wife and I are planning on going in April during Cruise Moab, but will be staying at Slickrock for shade. We’ll see how it all plays out this year.

Just looked at the Rising Sun site and see only 2020 info. I have emailed for 2021 registration details. I can probably do these dates. I'll lead a trail too for another ticket! Better views that way too I imagine.

Just looked at the Rising Sun site and see only 2020 info. I have emailed for 2021 registration details. I can probably do these dates. I'll lead a trail too for another ticket! Better views that way too I imagine.
Dates are Apr 12-18. Registration is supposed to open sometime between 1-15Feb. Maybe more info will be passed on the TLCA ConCall.

From the Rising Sun page:

“Hey everyone, just wanted to give you an update regarding the timing of registration for Cruise Moab 2021. Because we're still dealing with a pandemic environment, the committee has made the decision to push registration as LATE as possible. We anticipate registration to open no earlier than Feb. 1st and no later than Feb. 15th.

We are monitoring local requirements for holding our event. Right now, our plan is:
  • a smaller event with fewer registration slots than normal years.
  • no event dinner on Friday night
  • no vendor night inside the Old Spanish Trail arena. (2020 was supposed to be our first year for this -- let's hope for 2022). We may be able to allow a small number of vendors to set up outside on Thursday night. We're still exploring this.
  • limited merchandise options
  • a much smaller raffle or no raffle at all
Here are the things we're still planning:
  • Awesome trail runs with great trail leaders. All the trails are still open.
  • Kokopelli overnight run
  • San Rafael Swell run led by @cruiseroutfit
  • Possibly a Lockhart Basin overnight run
  • Camping at the Old Spanish Trail Arena. We are bringing in a shower trailer in addition to porta-potties. For the 2021 event, we are strongly encouraging everyone to camp at the event HQ. We want to recapture that Cruiserhead community that comes together when everyone stays in the same place.
  • An awesome event t-shirt and a few other small items
Registration announcements
  • We'll announce registration on the Rising Sun and Wasatch forums first.
  • Our regular vendors will get an early notice too.
  • The next group to be notified will be the folks on the Cruise Moab email list. Sign up for the list here if you are not on it.
  • It's likely that registration will be full at that point. We may not do any announcements on social media this year at all. So if you rely on Facebook or Instagram for your CM news, you might want to change your plan if you really want to attend CM this year.

Erik Power/water
Duane - camping
Culpepper - camping
Extra 2 - camping

reserving -- 4 camping, 4 power water.

Ok, the tent camp sites are live, so have having those people that tent camp reserve themselves. So far we have got two reserved where green highlight area is.

I have 4 slots with power and water, really setup for small campers "reserved" with them once the construction hold is done.
