I am spending the evening at my friends camp on Silent Shade Rd near Belzoni.

I was able to hit Ebenezer for a burger right after I turned 150,000 on the 100

Not sure what was better. The burger or the place.

^^ Likely to rarely, if ever, get to a Tuesday meeting, but I'd sure like to see an occasional weekend event

A friend from the Delta when we were in Aero at Moo-U was a private pilot; he'd done various gigs in that life before deciding to come to State. One was crop dusting. Told me how it got really boring. One day he was sorta on the edge of being too bored and startled himself awake when he hear a noise - it was his wheels hitting the crops. His stories about flying TV evangelists in TX were the best though.

Oak Mountain State Park, just south of Birmingham. Went to a bunch of concerts there in college, but first time exploring it. Miles of great hiking and mountain bike trails, a lake, and this cool waterfall. Camping and cabins available. Finished my shoot early, so I hiked a few miles and climbed around on the falls. Nice way to spend a Thursday.

I peaked at Google maps for an indirect route home and saw the western base boundary is the same Deer Creek that runs through Leland. I have been needing to go by a nursery there to see if they have spare Bald Cypress seedling so I took off.

This is Old Hwy 61 from Leland to Hallandale. Superb scenery and great old houses.

Where'd have lunch on this run? Deer Creek reminded me that we used to get good pizza at Lillo's in Leland - been a bunch of years back though

Sciple Water Mill north of Dekalb MS has been in this site and in the same family for 5 generations.

The old family store across the road has been converted into an Oprey House.
