This place is bad ass. He does tours every hour on the hour Saturday's for $7

Or rent it out like we did for dinner catered from Two Rivers.

Remember where we started the off road part of the Big Black River to Bovina Club run?

Well I went from there to just south of Greenwood on backroads and dirt roads yesterday.

Beautiful drive. Took me 2:45 versus the 1:15 it normally takes.

Plate lunch and a slice of one of the the stacked high pies at Crystal - be worth setting up a morning drive over there sometime. Take your girl down to Russell's to pick up something for the house or let Sara Ann show 'em a little jewelry

Cool stop off 49. Amazing to see 700 AD petrified wood and imagining the evolution of MS landscape

Been too long. Go check out the new Wagu Beef butcher on Main Street

Natalie's radar pinged as we went by but we were late so didnt stop. You been in? Good selection? That downtown could be SO cool.

I zig zagged home through Tombigbee National Forest and the Trace tonight.

I got caught in a thunderstorm and my mild mannered gravel road turned to clay mud hell in a second. I truly thought I was a goner 4-5 times. The magic buttons and knobs on the TRD Pro saved the day.

The road crossed back and forth under the Trace and went from sweet flat gravel to freshly crowned roads that were like ice

Someday you're gonna hit that stuff and really be wishing for a winch, but save your $$. You may have a little wait but sooner or later Bubba and his Budweiser drinkin' buddies will come along in the F250 rolling on 36" Gateway Gumbo Mudders (and flying THE FLAG), spraying mud in all directions, and will give you a tug. :hillbilly:

The road was a Forest Service Road but it was freshly crowned. Slick. As. Owl. s***.

See those ditches? Deep. See those nice perfectly straight tracks? That's the guy with the coop grip Spurs I guess because me and my fancy buttons and Terra Grapplers left a trail like a drunk Chickasaw

I snuck over and looked into a graveyard. See the writing...,,

This was marked on the map but I suspect it was a farmers field.

I pressed on regardless

I finally made it back to the Trace south of Houston. This National Forest is beautiful. All the roads are good and the hills and valleys are deep. Good drive.

They are trying man, trying....Need more support $$ dollars spent in Flora from folks on the outskirts of Flora. Not enough local cash is being spent...

We swung through espresso-frappa-lattes R'us and took a Sunday afternoon drive from Weisenberger up through Nolan's route to Lemon Road/Ebenezzer. Some beautiful country.

I want to go back foe a burger at the country store and then west to explore Hillside NWR.

Good tip @wngrog

Finally got my canoe back I had lent out about 5 years ago, so we took it out Sunday to Fox Bay. Didn't have time to take the tent off, so just put it on top. Rode great on the little trailer. Just bought some 78" bars that I'm gonna run so we can fit both boats on the trailer and still have room on the roof. If I get real ambitious, I might figure a good way to have stacked bars to bunk bed some canoes. Anyway, fun place to canoe.

We got caught in one of the daily rain showers, so I taught the boys how to improvise some rain gear.
