I am still waiting on Racer65 for a mat for my 1980
Could you share some pics of the under hood AC set up sometime? Just getting around to finally installing mine, and would like to see what others have done for hose routing etc. I just have a standard SBC, nothing special, but looking at others work helps!
Cheers!
PS: Very nice replacement rig for your other one...never thought it was possible with as much as you put into that brownie!!
Spent 4 hours last night wet sanding and buffing the driver side rear quarter and rocker panel… started out with 1500 and worked my way up to 2000 grit paper… then used 2 buffing compounds…. Keep in mind I have never used a buffer before either… so I taped off all sharp edges as the guy at the paint store told me to do… I have to say it looks so great!!! There is sooooooooooo much depth to that color once it is sanded out…. It probably could have used a little more buffing to be a better… but I don’t want to push my luck on it any more for now… threw on the fender flare and the rock slider for show…
Just a few pics… but they defiantly do not do it justice…
I cut my thumb pretty good with a razor last night… not like bad enough were I need stitches but I think bad enough that I will not be able to wet sand today.. I am going to try with my left hand mainly but don’t know how that will work…

Great build thread! It has been awesome to read!
Wondering if you remember the type or make of the fender flares you used??
I need to put some on my FJ 45 and like the subtle look of the ones you used...
Thx
