I’m interested in the seats, is it just the cushions or do you have the frames too? Hard to tell from the photos
Unless your talking the framing inside the seats themselves. There is some sort of metal spring framing inside I can feel. I’m not super knowledgeable about them and like I said they’re pretty fragile so I haven’t messed with them much.

Gotcha, I was mainly looking for frames if you still had them too. Pretty cool though that they’ve still got the label on the bottom!

I’d be interested in those seat cushions (esp. the bottoms) if both have the internal frames. Shipping to 83670?

Curious as to what/how your going to redo the seats with the original seat frames? And that roof would have been sold a year ago before I spent bookoo hours rebuilding mine. It’s in great shape for these which are usually rusted to the end of time. Did you put a new roof on?

I have the kit for the 45s from SOR I’m hoping I can make that work. It may not be perfect but I guess I better double check that before I let you take them. Haha

Ya it’s a roof I got rebuilt from another parts truck I had. Hopefully someone will need the one I got. I’d like to see this stuff get used somewhere if needed.

Let me get back to you on the seats when I can get to the shoo and check the frames out.

You’ll need the internal frames if your using the SOR kit, they’re only the covers. And you’ll need new foam unless you reuse the original horsehair. I can’t say whether or not you should as I can’t judge the status of the horsehair but typically it’s pretty funky so new foam is necessary. One thing I can’t tell is if those seats have been recovered (so maybe have new “stuff“ of some kind in them) but I’d assume they haven’t because they at least have the original burlap with the parts tag (which is very cool). I redid my passenger seat with the SOR cover and new foam, the seat frame is original with the three zig zag springs. I used 4” thick foam only (no internal frame as I don’t have one) rated at 2.8 lb/ft3 density with a 50lb ILD. That’s pretty high end foam. Seems solid but there’s still enough overall sag/flex that the bottom rests on the top of the fuel tank when I sit on it. I think that internal frame provides more structure to prevent this sort of sagging from happening. Hence I’ve been looking for a frame to no avail. I made a thin board to sit under the pad, but it creates too high of a seat 😂.

I also need the driver’s 25 seat and frame to include it’s pad with internal frame, no luck finding so far. I have a ‘64 vintage seat that I was thinking of rebuilding to get close to a 25 seat - I have the SOR 25 drivers cover - but I’d still be short the internal frame. And it’s only 3” thick, so sag might still be a problem even though it’s smaller than the passenger seat.

Long diatribe, sorry but I’ve been working on these seats for 3 years now. A confusing factor is that yours and my vintage FJ45s have a mix of 40 parts and 25 parts, seats included. It’s hard to hunt for stuff when you say your looking for stuff for your 45 but it’s actually 25 stuff 😆.

Thanks for that!!! Your exactly right it’s a trip looking for parts from multiple rigs and models for only one. I will look into those seats then. I’m glad you said something if that is the case!! These seats had some dark leather covers on them that got removed so I’m pretty sure what we see in the photos is the original leather but who knows.

If your right and I have to keep these I owe you a big one!!
I will let you know what happens!

Prices just got LOWERED. I’d like to move what I can and hope the adjustment helps make room for shipping.
