This Cruiser has been enthusiast owned for most of it’s life and it shows! Dispute its rough edges, I’ve driven to the northern tip of the Keweenaw and down to Kentucky, and it never missed a beat. I bought the truck with the plan to LS swap it in the future, but this thing runs too good as-is to really want to rip it apart. I bought an already LS swapped 80, and I can’t keep both.

Originally a KY to MO to MI truck (10 years in MI)
AC and heat work great
Part Time kit
AVM heavy duty hubs
17 Gallon aux fuel tank w/transfer pump and OEM dual filler neck
Headgasket done as PM ~60k miles ago
4.88 Gears
4" Lift
OME Shocks
Panhard correction kit
Fairly new 35" Ironman MT tires
Custom Front and Rear Bumpers
Bowfin Cruisers Sliders
Iron Pig Offroad Skid Plate
CX Racing Stainless Header
3" Exhaust
PIAA offroad lights
Sound Deadening
Alpine Headunit
Redarc brake controller
bhicks Cup holders
Snorkel
Yellowbox Speedo Correction
Depo Headlights and Tail lights
New Starter
New Battery
Front CV driveshaft
New rear u-joints
Blue Sea Dual USB Charger
Blue Sea aux fuse panel

Flaws:
There is rust in the rockers and rear quarters. Frame and axles were blasted and painted by the PO and are still in good shape.
Valve seals leak
Hood Scoop
9000 lb Superwinch inop - should probably replace
Swingouts need attention - bearings are shot
Front drive shaft is out of balance - have u-joints and center bearing
Was supercharged for a while - removed by PO several years ago
ABS Light due to Part-Time kit - ABS fully functional otherwise
Exhaust rattling slightly on transfer case
Leaks oil, trans fluid, power steering fluid
Dented / damaged lower tailgate

I will add a couple of thoughts -

#1- That truck will go absolutely anywhere, any distance on the highway, then wheel like no other, then run you home no issues. The most reliable Cruiser ever.
#2- When the head gasket was done as PM (by me- never overheated), the cylinders were absolutely as new. The head was checked for straightness and the valves were ground. Sadly the idiots used fel pro valve seals instead of the Toyota seals I had with the kit. It did not take long for them to wear. So other than the fact they cause a little oil usage the engine is top shelf.
#3 Hurry up. I am very tempted to buy it back!

GLWS!

Thanks, Pat!

I agree, this is a hell of a machine! If I could keep it, I would.

Thanks

Pm inbound.

Is that rust at leading edge of hood. under black wrap or paint ?

Hey Jason, sorry I missed this message.

I didn't see your PM.

I believe there is rust on the leading edge of the hood. I've never taken the black wrap off, but I assume that's why it was there.

Thanks
