i just wellded straight to the frame, if i got to take it off its simple enough to cut and reweld, one day ill change when i bet a winch. got to save up my pennies the wife says ive been getting to crazy with the rig.

Thanks for posting pics Cam.
I am right in the middle of doing the same thing to my cruiser and was originally planning to weld everything as you have, but I found that I can't remove the saginaw steering box without removing the front bumper. Have you checked to make sure that you can slide the box forward to clear the output splines without hitting the bumper?

I'd really like to weld the mounts to the frame and bumper with gussets, but then I won't be able to remove the bumper if I need to repair the steering box on the trail.

Instead of bolting everything on as Helo mentioned I am welding the stinger to the bumper and welding the radiator hoop to the frame, but making slip joints for the two connecting tubes between them. This way I can still have strong gusseted connections at the frame, but still be able to remove the bumper.

that is what i was thinking if i ever have to take the pump out ill cut the support tubes and then sleeve them and use some bolts kinda like a quik release things. i dont think my pump will go out soon though. they seem to last a while and i only drive her 1 a week or less. if you need any more photos let me know .
