I purchased mine in may through the group buy.
I paid in total shipped to NJ 637 for the unpainted sliders. This is an excellent deal.
In terms of the quality of the sliders, I was happy. The welds were good and I didn't notice any major differences left to right side.
Prep: I followed these instructions (posted by metal tech) exactly. A grinder with a wire wheel really helped me scrub the welds and hard to reach places.

Then I did 2 coats of POR 15 as my primer. Prevents rust. Purchased way more than I needed and took longer than expected to dry but I didn't want my sliders to rust.

Finally, I did 3 coats of roll bar and chassis paint from VHT. Bought a 6 pack, used 3 - 4. Saved the rest for touch ups.

They came out great. Just a few days of work.
I personally recommend painting sliders rather than powder coating them. Powder Coating does look better and is more durable. However, if you plan on offroading your 100 and using your sliders (they are there to save your body) then the coating on them will get scratched. If you powder coat your sliders, you can't simply touch them up; you have to have them re powder coated.
If you paint your sliders, when they get scratched take your time to mask off your truck and underside and rattlecan them back to perfect. They rarely ever need to come off because the parts that are most likely to need a repaint are not blocked by the truck itself.
