Y'all are overthinking the painting. Powder coat black and touch up the bottom/sides with Rust-Oleum as needed. Done.

I purchased mine in may through the group buy.

I paid in total shipped to NJ 637 for the unpainted sliders. This is an excellent deal.

In terms of the quality of the sliders, I was happy. The welds were good and I didn't notice any major differences left to right side.

Prep: I followed these instructions (posted by metal tech) exactly. A grinder with a wire wheel really helped me scrub the welds and hard to reach places.

Then I did 2 coats of POR 15 as my primer. Prevents rust. Purchased way more than I needed and took longer than expected to dry but I didn't want my sliders to rust.

Finally, I did 3 coats of roll bar and chassis paint from VHT. Bought a 6 pack, used 3 - 4. Saved the rest for touch ups.

They came out great. Just a few days of work.

I personally recommend painting sliders rather than powder coating them. Powder Coating does look better and is more durable. However, if you plan on offroading your 100 and using your sliders (they are there to save your body) then the coating on them will get scratched. If you powder coat your sliders, you can't simply touch them up; you have to have them re powder coated.

If you paint your sliders, when they get scratched take your time to mask off your truck and underside and rattlecan them back to perfect. They rarely ever need to come off because the parts that are most likely to need a repaint are not blocked by the truck itself.

How to piss off your UPS driver...

One of three so far going out today.

100% QC Checks signed off by our production lead Dillon. He can skip the gym on days of doing full QC checks. 60 reps of 70lbs sliders kind of does that.

Standing by for UPS labels!

My order should arrive on Wed next week. Stoked!

Nice.. I still haven't gotten my shipping confirmation yet.

I used Bed Liner on mine, lets see how long it holds up.

Are you going to be 'using' them?

If so, then it won't hold up. You'll need to touch up with rust blocking primer and spray paint occasionally. I've had mine on since maybe January and have had to touch up a handful of times.

If you're just using them as running boards, then it'll be mostly fine. My dog's nails have scratched it getting in and out but my shoes have not.

We updated the number available, basically allocated more to the sale than we originally planned. 10 sets left in stock at this price. Ends with these 10 sets, or Sept. 30th.

Also, we just launched full financing on our site, they are qualifying most people, with this sale it's starting at around $25 per month for the sliders.

Including the $100 shipping discount, most have shipping costs only being $14 to $40'ish total for sliders delivered. They are in stock so will ship ASAP. I think my guys have caught up getting all existing sliders out of the building.

Mine will be here tomorrow! Looking forward to ditching the damage multipliers (aka rocky road sliders). Thanks for the quick shipment!

Mine are being delivered tomorrow. Considering painting with Steel-It, and I'm curious to know if any folks here have experience with this coating. Very popular with the desert racing community.

Yup, some people install them really fast. I took my time (I have a different brand slider though), have a clean Cali 100 and cleaned/dusted everything under there as I went. Just be careful not to pinch any lines.
