Messed up stuff from a PO

I vote for just re-titling this thread The Wall of Shame thread. I guarantee I will have regular contributions. I like to think of them as job security!

The motor mount fiasco was attached to a cracked TH350, fulltime NP203 chain drive that the PO installed, shifted the TC into hi-lock, and sold...without a t-case lever!:bang: Probably my biggest 'whack' job to straighten out this year.
Wall of shame thread sounds good to me
THE HALL OF SAHAME would be an interesting if not scary section. I had a few finds also on a few of the FJ40 I have had but failed to document them by pictures, but everyday some Land Cruiser owner finds something that just is not right.
I wish I taken pictures of some other stuff I have found too. I usually think of pictures after I have fixed it:idea:

I looked for a way to rename the thread to The Wall of Shame, doesn't seem to be a way to do it. Could just start a new one unless somebody else knows how?

Picked this 71 fst up this past week. Had a custum hysteer setup.

Some other nice suspension up grades you have there as well:rofl:

I was looking at the booster tabs on the ubolt plates they made so they wouldn't have to buy longer shocks!

The H Diesel starter motor has a 3 bolt pattern... The PO installed one with a 2 bolt pattern... Not sure what it goes to, but it's not an HJ45.

Hay wire?!? Is that like the coat hangar my PO welded to the heads to fish bolts of various sizes and metric/sae selections up inside the frame and then rattle gun the nuts on from the outside? And of course he left the wire and various other welded extension pieces in the frame.

Makes for some fun both removing and then attempting a proper replacement. Think the battery tray was the most difficult ones to get to.

I think the PO thought it was a storage spot for screws and driver bits. Not sure what amps it would tske to blow, but the harness would have gone up in flames well beforehand. Surprised that there wasn' a live .22 round in there; a classic / legendary :hillbilly: field replacement.

I have had more than one carburetor show up with a coin where the sight glass was supposed to be.

this is the second one I've gotten like this.......must be a new way to desmog!

still not sure how you tighten the belt.
