I'm curious what you are doing to level the front. The weight of the Chinese Cummins has made the front of mine a little squatty

I have OME fj60 leafs in the front. They offer an add a leaf to add to the pack. It took the place of the 3rd leaf from the top. I got it installed tonight. She sits perfect now. So far, I am very impressed with how the leafs and the coils are balanced. We will see when I get on some trails if I feel the same way.... I will try to post a pic tomorrow. I have a couple things to do this week and I should make it to the meet up this weekend. So you will be able to see it in person.

Been driving the 40 this week and really liking the coils. Took the family down a forest road last night. A few wash outs. It performed awesome!! Here is how it sits posing behind work.

Had a little vibration I didn't like. I determined that it was in the transfer case. So a rebuild went on the last week. As long as I was in there, I upgraded to 3:1 low range gears. Pretty happy with how it turned out. I could feel the vibration in the shifters as well. They are nice and smooth now.

After the transfer case this weekend, I got the grab handles mounted and got a hole cut in the door panel for the handles. Handles will have to be another weekend. But nice to have the grab handles on, they are for a Land Rover Defender.

Found this older water jug at a garage sale this weekend. The person asked me if I had somewhere to put it on display. I said, I'm gonna use it!!
I found online I can get a replacement spout for $7 I didn't think that was too bad.

Been busy getting things ready for SAS7... Got my switch panel in and wiring up the E lockers, winch, and front light bar.

They were out of the winch in/out cover, so they threw one in that says Passenger Eject. lol. I kinda like it. I think it will stay a while.

Spent the last 2 months getting things ready. Glad that I got the lockers working and the rear 4 link was awesome!! The week went way too fast! I learned so much from looking at what others are doing to their rigs. What a great group of people to be a part of!!

@EWheeler We drove it out and back. 2800 miles round trip. On the way out we had a head wind the whole way, 20.25 mpg. On the way back we had a tailwind almost the whole way and got 23.85 mpg. I was happy with that, we were packed to the gills and had the tents on the back.

The list of items to change/fix/modify since returning home is growing...

Sent the transmission computer off to have the shift points raised. (it needs to hold a gear longer)
I have a turbo being built. (so it will spool sooner and at lower rpm's in altitude) I was surprised to hear it takes 2% more rpm per 1000ft to get the same boost. (I hope I said that correct...)
Ordered a transmission cooler with fan kit. (was fine on the road, just would get a little warm climbing the trails)
Measuring out for brackets to 3 link the front. (the rear rode so nice, now I want the front to handle the same..)
And I need to install a bigger radiator. (it is fine in MN, but climbing hills and mountain passes in CO it would get warm)

I think that is it. lol

I'm guessing it is turbo rpm, rather than engine rpm. The engine isn't even turning compared to the 100,000+ that the turbo is spinning.

So at an 8k foot elevation change, you'd need 16% more turbo rpm? That'd mean another 16,000 rpm at what would normally be needing 100k rpm on the turbo?


and on the cooling side, any easy way to split the radiator and run two? I hate adding more hose and more fittings which just creates more places to leak though....
