Coming from out of state, there may be no sales tax. EBI did not mention tax, only the remote possibility of a duty. If you are in CA like me the. Marlin will be charging sales tax. Add that to shipping and you are well over $800 even with his 10% off sale.
I believe that Marlin has a sale going on right now at $719 with a 1 - 2 month wait. Either way, this difference is not not mind bending.
The fact that this many of us want to "crawl" tells them that they don't need to offer an incredible price. Unfortunately, that's business.

Lots of us want to crawl. For those who plan to pay someone to install the gears, an extra hundred or two may not be a big percentage of the overall cost. Then again, some people get worked up over the last few bucks. I bet a lot of folks would drop out at $620, just because it isn't the $600 they were shooting for (even if $600 was a number out of the blue.) I bet a lot of other folks skip it at $700-$719.

For that matter, if a group buy doesn't get some dealer wanting to make a deal; I bet some people will even reconsider whether or not to go with the $299 (likely, but not confirmed Chinesium) gears. Many more will decide to "do it later" and never buy the gears. If the deal is right, people will buy things they're going to get around to years later. I have a set of OME 2850J springs in my living room that I've now decided not to mount until I add a new front bumper. (Yes. I'm a bachelor.)

If a vendor wants a big order, they can make a deal. If they're content with the orders they're getting, they can stick with their prices.

Sounds like someone picked the wrong wife! Not only because she took half your stuff but also handbags that cost that much, if you're not a rock star I wouldn't pay 100 for a handbag, let alone 1000!

Although a $100 or even $799 handbag sounds expensive, that sure isn't where they top out. There is a used handbag store near my house (I'd been dragged out shopping with my nieces) that had more than 5 different bags in the window that (each) cost more than I've spent on my Land Cruiser. More then the truck AND Icon shocks, OME springs, sliders and 35" Goodyear tires combined. THOSE are the bags you don't want to budget for! One of the USED bags was $10K! USED!

I would happy to install your gears for free.

...a few people might benefit from an "install party" and deal with these together. I'd bet some extra hands come in handy for installing these.

The previously alluded to price of $790 Canadian is not set in stone but a final price can not be negotiated with the vendor until they know how many orders there will be. EBI has indicate that with this many orders, the price of an individual gear set would come in at less than there everyday advertised price.

Steve at ebi has not stated a set in stone price as I know we would all like to see before we order. He has said that a large enough order will allow him to come down a little maybe $50 and told me to expect $40-$50 for shipping. Many of your questions might be answered by going back a couple days and then start reading if you haven't already.
Even at $621+shipping, EBI has Marlin beat and he knows it.
