I installed water alcohol injection for a chemical intercooler to offset the higher heat in the intake works really well. I also had high water temps and found that there was not enough opening in the thermostat. I built a temperture controlled bypass hooked it up to the port on the bottom of the tstat housing used a temp switch with vacuum ports to open a valve that allowed water to flow from the tstat housing and solved this.

If you gonna buy a boost controler ( by far easyes way to adjust your boost ) buy a blocker not a bleeder

Simpler? mine went on in about 15 minutes. Unless you're drag racing a Grand National or a Skyline GTR, I think the noticeability of wastegate creep would be pretty small.

Yes, simpler.
No extra lines, nothing hissing under the bonnet and you get more preload to go with higher boost. So you can go well past the point where a wastegate will blow open when trying to use a manual boost controller. I run 20psi on this T25.

Here's my turbo back when the paint was fresh.

But when i was pulling and going uphill the water temp would go high very fast..

and now with the intercooler? no temp problems?? what radiator are you running?

the pic Dougal has up is what Alamo supplies with the turbos i buy. it works and works well.
down side is the initial adjustments since the rod is between the block and the turbo on the HZ/PZ. on the 3B it is one of the best adjustment tools you can invest in.

hate to say it but you are over studying this. bolt it on. drive it for a bit. modify as required.intercoolers, waste gate adjustments etc can be done when you see you need it.

unless of course you like working on your truck more than driving it.

there are those that live to build, there are those that live to drive then there are those that build a bit and drive a lot. nothing wrong with any one of these.

and now with the intercooler? no temp problems?? what radiator are you running?

Original radiateur, and no more water heating issue. It did really solve my problem when pulling the trailer.

It was fine temperature wise without pulling the m101, before the intercooler. But when i was pulling and going uphill the water temp would go high very fast. More boost would have not help me without a intercooler, IMO.

Do you have a picture or pictures of your I/C set up? Just curious how you mounted and where. What kind of IC did you install? TOP MOUNT VS FRONT MOUNT. When is the effect of intercooling most noticeable? I have been pondering this mod too.

can get 25 pbs of boost

if i shift at 3100 is, my turbo has boosted 25 before, i've disconnected the waste gate and have air research t3. you have to be light on the throttle or you chug through the diesel. I've only turned the fuel up by 1 turn from stock position. but holly hell, does it pull. i've almost barried the speedo at 140kmh. got 4.11's and 35's, 5 speed. does anybody think that is way too much boost? i havn't had the pyro over 1150 but its welded in after the turbo. is that a mistake?

at 25lbs you are creating a ton of hot air... do you have an intercooler?

i run (very seldom) at 16 lbs, i know Peter was up there with you gut i like to limit at 14 lbs. personal preference, no real reason why except Alamo suggested it as a max without intercooler and the number stuck in my head.

no inter cooler, was thinking about a small under the hood type from a supra or ??? Just something to cool it a bit and i have a poser hood scoop already, might as well cut a hole in the hood.

25 sounds pretty high w/o intercooler

heck, 25 sounds pretty high even with an intercooler on a Toyota motor

for a DD that is rediculious (but then that is just in my head)...
