Everyone know Maltec makes an incredibly cool looking trucks but how cool are they in the Arizona heat?
Test vehicle 2011 200 series with a 100% carbon fiber cabin (~6' wide ~7.5' long) with seat belted seating for 2 in back.
Test Conditions outside ambient 39°c or 102.2°f
Factory dash AC on with the cab open to the cabin with only the dash pass through center console vents on, no rear AC evaporator (this may change in the near future).
After ~1+ hour of travel the rear seating had a temperature of 71.8°
How cool is that! There are no other camper, motorhome, or van I know of that has the ability to cool the cabin with such coolness.
So the concern of traveling with pets or passengers in 100°+ temperatures in no problem with MALTEC. The more time I spend in these trucks I find them in a class of their own and the easier it is the justify the cost.
