I just slipped the threaded rod into the 1x1, then used shock cord to keep the leg from falling out when nothing is underneath it....
 
humm, doesn't look anything like the trailer i sold yah... nice job!!
 
up next, splitting the big drawer..and making 1/2 of it a sliding out camp kitchen...
 
this is an impresive build, nice work.

i've been lurking for a while, but i decided to join your forum because of all these trailer builds. i hope i can steal ideas and intergrate them in my own build when i get a trailer.
 
Very cool. That tailgate is nice...still keeps the stock look, but highly functional and solid. Good job!

I made a point of trying to make it look like it was supposed to be there, even adding the details like the little square blocks on the bottom rail...I put caulking around everything to match the seams of the trailer...

One summer and 5 or 6 camping trips with it, and I'm really happy with ....

I restored mine in 2006 and added a plywood deck for my Mombasa tent. It has since been on many campouts and has also been a blast. These little trailers are really a blast to play with.

lol..never needed it, I sleep on the left, my tent mate weighed 105 lbs...

I'm installing a foldout leg that tucks in under the back edge..pics to follow...
