This is going under the knife for another transfer. 10" body and frame stretch and the wheelbase a bit more like my
74. Drivetrain has been great but looking to make some changes there with the added wheelbase.

Well, you have to tell us about the flop.
Talent tank ran out!
Left rear dropped in a dug out area. Hit reverse wich made it worse as it spun into the whole and had a gentle flop. Winched it over and drove it the rest of the week. Almost at the top of Imogene, 12,500 or so.

Step one. New shoes to offset the extra wheelbase and the upcoming 10% under drive gears. Gained about 6" in width and do not plan to add much lift.

so much for basic stock 40 :)

It’s a “MTW” now. Lol
Well, if 37's are the new 35's. I guess 35's are the new 33's. I really did not want to do it for several reasons, but I will be installing a new drive train and it will have a 10% underdrive in the t-case, so 10% larger tires will offset that. It will be like 4:56 gears in the axles, a little much for a v-8, 4sp, and 33's.

They are still "smaller" than the 40" sticky treps on the race car!

I drove down to NC yesterday and picked up a BJ44 hard top. For some reason I thought a 43/44 was 10" longer than a 40. Now to decide about cutting this one down, or stealing the top off my other stretched project??? The 43/44 is 14" longer! Oops😊

Why not re-cut the frame and make it the length of the hard top?

Been working on that. Figured less work. Did not want to get too long in wheelbase with 35's for break over angle. I have been using go jacks and ratchet straps by myself. Had to take a break. I am within 3/16 of square and frame looks good. Any closer and frame gets out of wack. Got a friend coming in the am to help.

One of us soft top 43 guys (me) would surely snatch that up from you if you go another direction!
