What's your problem?? I do not recall directing anything at you or your posts...That is very uncalled for and quite frankly, untrue. If you read negativity into my posts, well , that's your problem. Life isn't all roses cachapa boy :eek: !! If you have nothing better to do with your time than research my posts and call me names, then I would recommend getting a life ! Just because you don't like or agree with someones opinions does not give the right to personally berate them. Don't YOU be a jerk .

That is true. The problems I have with the LC interior are:

1. Too much silver fake looking plastic/chrome like material on doors. It just looks too cheap.

2. The wood is much too dark for me.

3. I do not feel I am actually upgrading from my current LX470.

4. The entire dash is gray---even if you choose beige interior

Now keep in mind, this is all subjective personal opinions. Thanks.

Now that the 2008 Land Cruiser and the LX570 are on the market.
I have been able to judge some of the good and bad characteristics of both of these behemoths. I will wait a few months and continue reading these great posts till I am completely satisfied that I am making the correct decision.
My LX470 is approaching the 25000 miles inspection and is due for new set of tires
preferably Michelin Latitude Tour HP .
In the mean time if my local Lexus dealer happens to call me suggesting about One Day Only , the " Deal of the Century " on a new LX570 , skeptically I will listened.

LC - not available in Canada
LX - No prices yet, but have heard anywhere from $90,000 - 110,000.

I hopped accross the border, and picked up a LC for MSRP. Saving $30,000+ on the Canadian option made me choose LC over LX.

Also...

I don't make enough to drive a Lexus, don't want to send the wrong message. Toyota's are good enough for me.
 
Wow, I was wrong about the LX dash. That thing is almost amazing ;)

Why such a high price in Canada ?
Additional taxes ?
 
Strong Canadian dollar and prices haven't adjusted to match. Lexus' Canadian site still shows the outgoing LX470 at $101,400 msrp. Where's the LX570 gonna be priced?
 
Yeah, I know...bummer.

However,

GST is only 5% now, the tarriff penalty isn't that bad, and Alberta has no PST, so I'm still saving over the LX570, and would prefer the Toyota anyways.
