LX470 Heater Function Problem

The '99 LX470 has two temperature sensors. One for the dash gauge and a second for the ECU to "know" the engine temp.

My '99 LX470's temp never fluctuated, ever, rock solid after the initial climb during warm up.

But...how do you know the exact temp? The dash gauge doesn't show temps, it's simply a gradient with dashed lines. Did you install an aftermarket gauge?

I bought an UltraGuage. It was like $75 but it works really well. My gauge never moves either once it climbs to warm. I do sometimes wonder if seeing all the real time info just leads to more paranoia.

Gotcha. Seems like you are good then! Enjoy the results of your work!
