Yeah it's that simple...if you have the slots for the filters. My neighbor's 2000 LC don't have them.

But I heard even though the same year, some could have the slots some without?
I haven't checked mine, 2005 LC.

Anyone here with a 2005 LC? Does it have air filter access doors to slide in the filter?

Tabraha,
congrats, this thread of yours is really useful.

I have two further questions:

- has anyone a link or an email address to suggest, for those like me that need to order the filters in Europe ?

- I tried to click on your link to get the Step by Step Pictures:
LX470 Cabin Air Filter Change
but unfortunately it does not work. The following message appears:
""""
The requested URL /LX_filters/index.htm was not found on this server- Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
"""
Perhaps the site administrator can do something to fix this ?

Thanks

On my 05/2000 build it does have them. Odd that there would be such variation on the assembly line.

landarcht you have 6 posts in this thread and haven't bothered to look for yourself yet? It's 2 minutes tops to look... If you have the door, follow my instructions and you are good to go. If you don't have the door and want to pursue the filtration then follow the referenced thread above.

12/99 build date on my 2000 and I have them.

LC100 UK Car pollen filter

Have read most of the posts but not seen this so far.
My 1998 4.7 Amazon has the cover and the slot, so ordered the filters from Toyota.
But they are too long. The ones in the LS470 video cover the whole of the evaporator. In my car the frame for the filters seems to go halfway to cover the fresh air intake but I presume at the back of this is the recirculated air duct.
Any clues as to which filters might fit. They would be the same depth and stacking set up but roughly half the length.

Can you post a picture of the opening with maybe a flashlight of the opening? Do you happen to have the old filters? When you slide the first filter in, it will kind of drop down and should go all the way back. The next filter will just slide on top of the first one. I don't believe there are different size filters as all the sites that self OEM & aftermarket cabin filters list the same size parts. But than again you have an LC from across the pond, so it might be different?

Yes and the cover is the A with the clip on lid.
The depth of the slot from front to back seems to be the problem. The LS 470 filters cover the whole length of the evaporator but the holding frame for the filters only goes halfway back on mine.

My Lexus dealer quoted $80.00 to replace. I'll see what the Toyota dealer wants. It is way to hot here in Vegas to do this myself. 117 degrees today.

2000 LC and had the door / slot but had no filter. This is what came out when I blew it out with compressed air. Off to order filters. Found them on eBay for 14.88 delivered for the pair. image-3864059539.jpg

Is there anyway to see if my 2005 LC has filter slots
Without opening the compartments?
Like through car's VIN or other numbers?
