Bump!!
What is that rear 14 bolt out of? Did you have to modify it at all? is it passenger drop or centered?

thanks. i love wheeling and not worrying about breaking. the only bodywork i do is denting it then removing it!I love your Lex... This is the direction that mine is going as well, I'm just doing the bodywork first!

I'm diggin the bead locks, where did you get them?
its out of an early 80's chevy single rear wheel. no mods, its just a regular centered 14bolt.
i probably could but my guy just has them shipped to his shop in fayetteville, wv. it would probably be easier for you to contact great lake offroad Weld On BeadLock KitsCan you get me a set of rock rings that look like that??
i didnt line it up with the transfer case. the only thing i did was make sure the pinion flange on the axle was at the same angle as the transfer case flange. no vibes at all. i have driven it numerous times to a local wheeling spot thats about 25mi away between 65-70mph and it drives great. the only reason i quit driving it much because i cant keep tail lights in it, i broke one headlight out, and broke the passenger front window and mirror. i just gave up trying to keep it legal.Gotcha. So you didn't worry about making sure it was perfectly lined up with the T-case. I know you trailer it, but have you driven it on the road enough to know if that causes any driveline vibes? I'm assuming it would...? but I figured I'd ask. That would be a nice easy swap if it worked and drove nicely.

Hmm, that's interesting. I'm sure I could source a rear full floater 14-bolt cheaper than a full float 80 axle (I have the semi-float). That's good to hear. I figured that keeping the two flanges parallel would be the way to go about it and that the longer wheel-base of the 80 would be little more forgiving.
Thanks!
