@boringdriver you still rocking this same setup; any updates?

I bought the car with stage 1 that was installed 60,000 miles prior. stock injectors, stock tune. I don't know if it was the way the previous owner drove it but car didn't have that oomph.

after doing a bunch of deep dives into the setup and logging data, one thing was clear, the stock injectors can't keep up with fueling above 5000rpm. the injector duty cycle is well above 90%. recommended is 80% at WOT or you are going to be dangerously lean.

the stock tune surprisingly is not bad. this is what my tuner told me after he looked at the log:
Looking at this data, seems fueling is good and safe. There was a point where it was overly rich, 9.928 AFR. So that tells me the injectors can be scaled back a bit and that will actually increase your power. There's some spots where timing can be improved. Overall it's not a bad tune, but there is some power left on the table.
based on all that, i upgraded the injectors to the TRD ones that are somewhere aroudn 480-535cc. i give a range because there's some debate over how many cc they are. literature says 480, real world testing says 535cc.
either way i got those installed, retuned the car and i am under 80% at WOT. the car drives great. it pulls like a 4500lb car, not a 6500lb one...

now if you plan on going to a smaller pulley, these won't keep up so you def need to go to the DW 650cc injectors. i plan on staying where i am at to maintain a balance of power and reliability.

i am getting about 11MPG but I am not optimized for MPG either..
