LX 450 Replacement Key

I think we should get quotes from every Lexus dealer in the US.....NAH, the WORLD...on a key. Someone investigate the materials too. We need to make sure we are comparing apples to apples right?

Will my non oem key have improper attributes that will.....after 4 million miles cause my ignition cylinder to fail!!!!! I'm screwed right????


good luck with the key. You can spend 20 or 250 and anywhere in between and well, you will have a key.

Appreciate all the responses. I'm going to look into the ebay option. The 97 does not have a transponder in it, hence most of the cost should be eliminated, just need to get the blank and mill it.

Got 2 from my local Lexus dealer a few years ago, part number on the invoice is: 00201-10069, $25 per. They were able to look up the key code based on the VIN--think I had to show proof of ownership. I hope someone just assumed and quoted you for a transponder key or one with the keyless entry buttons on it.
