Thanks man....Yep, I got the 55 hinges all straight, cleaned up, fixed, and water jet blasted. Mocked them up against the real deal, and noticed they are a little short than the LV ones. I'm going to extend them and use them. Mounting holes match up.

Yessir, seems they bolt right up....but the upper--pin to pin is 11" and the bottom pin to pin is 12 1/4"...so...I will extend them and straighten out the bottom slide section. I have 2 sets to practice with. Man...these LV's are fun.....

Well, I've been slowly finding more parts......searching high and low.....shout out to everyone so far for the help, assistance and parts. Parts found as far as Egypt, Canada, local cruiser guys and across the US. So, Friday I spent some time gutting the donor LV cowl and dash. Surprisingly, with some determination, wd40, patience, maybe a little heat torch, all items were successfully removed without too many scars or damage. The 2 most important things were removed without fail. Wiper motor assembly and the cowl vent assembly with pull knob. Everything operates and moves smoothly. Only took 5 hours. Good thing it was only 100 degrees out. Sheesh. Getting ready for the front floor installation....pics to follow soon. Also, I might be selling the front cowl section eventually. It's a 67 in great shape. I'll post pics of it when I do. Might end up being a trade item for LV Goodies.......Anyone needing a straight, cancer free, gutted, LV cowl? PM me.

Here's some more. It did help that the cowl was on it's side. Made things a little easier. Floor section removed, very solid with no cancer and getting sandblasted before install. Going to use some sections of the rear body as well. Also got the wheels back from Schwab. Blasted with their gray mounted up on the chassis. All cleaned up and painted. Next for the chassis is motor, trans and t-case mock-up.

Great work finding those parts! Just a word of caution on the MC tin cups - I’ve had two procured sets end up being unsalvageable due to rust rot - they look and feel solid until the rust dissolver goes to work, swish cheese as they say.

Thanks mcalf. The chassis will have have 4 wheel disc, power booster and likely a newer clutch MS. I'll save the tin cups for garage art...maybe. Also, I've had great luck with the metal/concrete prep sold at ACE. A little soaking and rinsing and parts, bolts, small pieces come out clean. Caution---don't soak for too long.

Since I'm short 1 passenger side door striker, I thought I would experiment and modify a 55 striker. Seems like it could work...? Thoughts? Has anyone tried this before? Anyone have an extra passenger side striker? May have to modified, shim it...idk. I'll test fit this week.

Well, I've been slackin a bit on progress pics, so here we go. More to come as I get cracking on the front floor install. Been focused on sourcing some remaining bits for the LV and getting lucky. Thank you LV crew. Finally got the floor pan and rear tail section back from the blaster. Time to get the spot weld bit out and dive into the metal work. Got the drive train installed and mounts all mocked and burned in. Just in time for hunting season.

For those of you wondering.....When I got the LV, the frame was already being set up for a V8 swap. All stock mounts removed, radiator mounts, set up with rev-shackle, p/s plate, front boxed in. So, I decided to run with it and instead of converting back to all stock or a diesel conv. I figure the V8, p/s, pwr disc brakes, and vintage air should provide some simple comforts while keeping the stock look.

Well, started on the floor section preparing it to be welded into the body. Got some metal work to do, but it's a great donor piece for a floor. Considering what LV floors can be. Drilling out the spot welds so it separates and lays right into the body. I plan to work on it some more this week. The rockers will be used as patch panels as well. Felling lucky to have these pieces. More pics to follow. Slow progress is progress---Right?

You scored on that 45lv , happy you got it , Now finish the 45 .:popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:

Question for the LV gurus.......Are the smaller red circle reflectors, below the rear taillight assemblies, only specific to 65, 66, and 67 LV's? Or all years? Just curious. I picked up a set of after market ones on Amazon that are close enough. Does anyone have a set out there? Thanks

My LV is a '64 and it does have the small reflectors.

I attached a day 1 picture (yikes!) + a picture of location of the hole. For reference, 4-1/4" measurement is from the horizontal body line.
FYI - @scoobiedubes had some reflector bases 3d printed a while back (several years ago). You may want to ping him.
