Lot o' cash but should be a ripper! I love a good v8 in a Cruiser. Just finished up doing a 6L with 425hp in a buddies 96 LX and it came out simply killer.

Hi RMP&O,

I pick the car up about 7-8 months ago for $8500 AUD in OK condition with all the "current mods" and drove it until rego ran out ( was registed in different state ). so far I'm budgeting for +7-10k to complete everything but like all builds.. we will see how close I get.

Looking for information for cooling & air intake, would be interested in what you guys ended up doing?

Custom buillt aluminum radiator and Spal electric fans for cooling.

Air intake we used the stock LX/80-series box and filter.

Search 80-series section for " 97 LX gets a v8 and more" for full build thread. ;)
