Long weekend build?

We rocked it until 5AM this morning (Saturday) and then kicked off again at 8AM. We have made some major progress and despite some minor setbacks such as seized bolts, hardware, etc we nailed all of the suspension, bumpers, roof rack and dual batteries. We just wrapped up for he night and I'm tying up some loose ends. More detailed report in the am :D

Back at it here in the shop... down to some small wiring projects and tidying up some of the other component installs.

Saw some pictures on Facebook but glad to see this turn into a build thread on Mud. That's one big pile of tasteful quality components. Front and rear ARB air lockers seem to be missing... Future weekend project?

SEMA project?

Not really :D

I'm driving it to SEMA but just as shake-down run. We are using this as a chase vehicle for our upcoming attempt at the Baja 1000 next month. It will serve as crew and race team transport, spares, and possibly getting to the car on the remote course. From there it will replace my Tacoma as my primary overland setup.

Saturdays day shift rocking out projects on every corner of the rig:

As usual great job Kurt. Knew you could do it. Was following from FB from out in the woods.

Thanks!

I'm working on part 1 of the build thread in between phone calls... hope to have it live later this week and keep doing an weekly update to cover the whole mess.

Nice Kurt

You will be happier and more comfortable in this then the truck

Nice to be surrounded by cool people who are up for a memorable project!

Even being part of the build I was shocked to see how well and how quickly it was executed.

Thanks for all your help! I did my best to have plenty of 'tasks' for all that were there and I think for the most part we utilized those that wanted to lay down some work :D

Indeed, I'm lucky to have such great friends.

I snapped a finished shot late as she sat on Sunday evening:
