Looking for a set of tires for the new (to me) FJ45. Looking for 235/75 or even 225/75-15. Tires on the rig have tread but have lots of dry rot. The 45 hadn't been out of the guy's garage in at least 8 years? Anybody have anything?

Congratulations Gary!
Didn't expect the For Sale thread to be the first place I read about your new 45...

@shmukster - you lucky SOB. Do you have a thread chronicling this project? If so, sign me up!

FJ40 or FJ55 (preferred) front axle housing needed. Doesn't have to be disc brake but needs to be in the 70's or newer. Would be glad to take an entire axle hub to hub. Also looking for a 40 rear axle housing drum to drum. Anybody have anyhting out there? Have a pair in VA but would rather buy locally if at all possible.

Anyone need white wagon wheels? I have 3 Toyota rims and 2 knock offs. They'll be up at Coal Miner if you want to look at them in person. The tires are going to Gary so the wheels will be available once he pulls them off. I'm thinking $30 for the Toyota rims and $20 each for the knock offs. $100 for all 5.

Gary...I have a set out of a 4/79 FJ40. Rear is drum to drum. Front is flange to flange, cruiser didn't have lockouts on it.

I hope you mean in parts with you doing the labor. Figure most of the bushings in the control arms and panhards, most likely TRE's while you're at it, front axle rebuild unless it was done by someone who knew what the hell they were doing in the last 100K, doubt that both lockers will actually work, springs are probably getting tired if they're stock, probably weeps oil from the distro and front main.

Not steering you away from it but you're going to put a thou or two in it in just parts most likely to get it to baseline unless its been REALLY well cared for and unless it was owned by a fellow mudder I doubt it has been fully loved the last 10 years of its life.

If you're up to doing the work yourself you'll save a ton of cash but @ $85/hr to do the oil pump and front main seal will chomp at your wallet quickly as well as bushings and other stuff where parts are relatively cheap but labor intensive.

Gary missed one!!!

@shmukster - At this point saving these things is basically your civic duty! ;)
