$1.14 D in Chatsworth,
$0.92 D 1/2 up the road.

$0.72 G

$0.75/litre for regular diesel and $0.80/litre for premium diesel in INDIA.

Diff between the two is that premium has some fuel additives added to it.......i get around 7-8% better fuel economy with the premium fuel and the engine feels a bit smoother and more responsive as well.

Explain this please, if you can..
Why there's a huge price gap now between regular gasoline and Diesel? It was never like that before? Diesel used to be 2-3 cents cheaper than regular and when they made the *new* winter diesel (ULSD) it became 2-3 cents higher, which I will gladly accept.

Gasoline & diesel prices went up like crazy as we all know. Now, gas prices are down but diesel still 15-20 cents higher? Any idea??

I have been told diesel is more expensive now due to emission regulation, something has change in the way they refine it. Making it more expensive now.

not for us at least .. the oil Corps only found that there are much people around the world using the diesel more than they expect and paying whatever the price is ..

Try a buck a gallon more the reg unleaded!

Here in the Netherlands the diesel is dropping as well. Most filling stations (like BP and Shell) it now is around 1.10 Euro (about USD 1.40) per liter and that equals USD 5.24 per gallon. My local station (as we call it: 'white pump' ,meaning not related to one of the big companies) here is now even down to 0.98 Euro per liter. I never thought I would be seeing this kind of pricing ever again.

This summer I've been paying up to......10.24 USD per gallon

Just for comparison... Crude has dropped to around US$40 a barrel from US$120+ last summer (a ratio of about 3 to 1), but diesel at the pump has dropped from CA$1.50 to CA$1.00 a litre (a 50% drop). Go figure who's pocketing the difference! (hint: those guys who spend most of their time bickering at each other and taking our hard earned cash for our 'pleasure' of watching them doing their 'sport')

Up-Here diesel is $3.30 US per gallon this week, and it all comes from Canadian wells, Canadian refineries, and Canadian distributors. Oil feeds Canadian's families, pays their taxes and puts a roof over their heads.

You have a very kind approach:):)

I would say: the crude dropped from (max) 147 USD to 40 USD a barrel. That's a drop of 107 USD/barrel or....almost 73 %:frown:
At the pump (just comparing local prices and not taking into account top prices I paid somewhere else) it dropped from 1.49 Euro to 0.98 Euro. That's a drop of 0.51 Euro or only 34%.
This is per liter.

The top price of almost 2 euro I paid in another country I left out of the equation because on average the diesel is much more expensive over there compared to my local conditions

Yesterday AM diesel was 89.9 Mid Vancouver Island. Last fillup (less that 2 weeks) was 108.2. Hope the drop continues.

$0.82.9 / L diesel Chesley Ontario
$0.70.9 /L gas Chesley Ontario

normally diesel should be roughly 5 cents cheaper than gas so where is the $0.65 /L diesel hiding?
