here in australia (brisbane, QLD) we are paying 110-120c for ULP, 105-115 Diesel, and 60-80c LPG (or propane) those prices are per liter

77.9 at Husky yesterday. Glad to be rid of that US Chevron diesel. Think it was the first time I filled with Chevron diesel. It was cheap but noticed a drop in power. Adding some Standyne Performance Formula helped get me through the tank. With the Husky diesel, its back to as good as can be expected from a naturally asperated diesel.

It was probbaly still winter diesel. Always less energy/more fuel consumption with winter diesel, in my experience. The best solution is to pick it up where there is lots of traffic.

Oh and BTW cheapest here is 83.9/l, although you can get it for a bit less near the Ontario border.

Its still winter diesel across the Pacific North West. We got a couple inches of fresh snow this morning. I find that Husky and Superstore diesel burns much nicer in my engine. Last time I got diesel in the US it was last summer and found it was fine. Maybe their winter diesel has less BTUs than ours?

I know for a fact that our winter diesel is less energetic, it's simply a lighter distilate (I would say about 10%). But their are two grades that my main station has, one that's -25C graded and the other, -40C. We usually get the -25C stuff in november, and the -40C stuff from mid January to end of February; it's usually well indicated on the pumps at Dépôt Diésel Bélisle. I'm not sure right now, haven't checked lately, but if not already, we'll be back to summer diesel very soon.

It's certain there are also different blends out there. I have noticed prerformance differences from a station to another, for example, but only when doing long distances where I can measure the difference from fill-up to fill-up (all other things being equal).

What I don't understand is the wild disparity I see here in southern California. I *still* am seeing it over $3/gal in some areas, but in Glendale I've seen $2.69 and over by my in-laws in Montebello it's $2.39/gal.
