The older oil pans aren't even machined for the crank sensor, there's no place to put it. As long as you are OK with swapping parts around from the engine that came out of it, you'll be fine.

One of the nice things about the Lexus is that IF the previous owner(s) had it serviced at the dealership (which most were) you can pull the complete maintenance/service history online for free.
